I am just waiting for the day when Angen Hernandez calls a strike on a pitch where they are trying to intentionally walk the batter. You know it is going to happen. Catcher stands up, walks to the right, grabs the ball out of the air, Hernandez realizes there is still a baseball game going on, pulls the foot-long hot-dog back out of his deep-throat and says "strike".
18:40 it doesn't seem as egregious because of the camera angle over the pitcher's right shoulder. If we were to see the same pitch from a similar angle over the left shoulder, it would look WAY out

Why hasn’t there been talks about getting rid of the umpire completely. They actually dictate games and calls and always make the counts even now.

Angel should not be allowed to ump a kid's t-ball game, let alone MLB.
It looks to me like the catchers in these bad call videos are lining up outside of the zone, and thereby able to hold their gloves straight out ahead of them to indicate the pitch was on target, and stupid umps will then call the pitches as strikes. I ain't an expert, but that's what it looks like to me.
The weird part about that minor league group Diamond baseball holdings is they’re owned by Endevor which also has an agency group, which makes you wonder if there will be conflicts of interest
Now back in the mid 90s to mid 2000s there used to be pitches in worse spot than that being called a strike. Different times

Its one thing if they own a bunch of the Minor League teams and treat them well and actually engage the local fan base, but including Little League under the “umbrella” of MLB is as insane an idea as it gets!

If the players can adapt to change the umps can as well. If they can't adapt they need to go.
All monopolies are good at first but once all the competition is gone, they turn into fascist pigs. This isn't capitalism either! How can you have capitalism without competition?!
If you are dumb enough to believe Angel is not doing this on purpose you are fooling yourself. He sued the MLB and lost, he is protected by the umpires union from being fired and he knows it. So to get back at the MLB for losing his discrimination case he is intentionally making bad calls to thumb his nose at the MLB
Let's be honest. If someone is going to set the Umpire Auditor record, it would be so disappointing if it was anyone other than Angel.
