  1. You should know as well as I do that Duke won't miss him at all. He can't shoot and probably won't even start for Duke next year. You guys don't know much about basketball players. He is a disappointment for Duke.

  2. I saw this coming a mile away. He was a no show against UNC and he wasn’t going to accept coming off the bench for cooper flagg. Mitchell really couldn’t shoot the ball.

  3. I don't know why you're so surprised at Mark transferring. I absolutely 💯 % expected it, and here's why: This year he was forced to play out of position and now Duke has a stud incoming freshman class plus the players currently left on the roster. I'm hoping that Stewart & Powers both stay and I believe they are and that Mark knows that as well plus Duke has #1 player in the nation Cooper Flagg and 5star McDonald's all American & N.C's Mr. Basketball Isaiah Evans, So that's Stewart,Powers,Flagg and Evans as competition for minutes compared to this season when Mark had only the 2 freshman in Powers & Stewart to compete with for playing time.
Mark is trying to make his way to the nba and I'm sure getting less playing time while most likely also being overlooked by scout's who will be drooling over Flagg no doubt isn't on his best ways to be successful list. I just don't see Mitchell getting the minutes he wants with Flagg,Evans,Stewart and Powers on the roster.
I hate to see Mark go but I do believe he is doing the right thing for his future and career. I wish him nothing but success and the absolute best and I will continue to support and follow him along his journey, although I won't be able to pull for him if his future team plays against Duke but I'm sure he'll understand 😉.
This is how I believe Dukes roster will play out. I expect Blake's & Schutt to also transfer, obviously looking for bigger roles and a lot more playing time. Flip, McCain & Roach will head for pro basketball. I'm very hopeful and believe that Stewart, Powers, Proctor & Foster all return to Duke. So next seasons roster: Proctor, Foster, Stewart,Powers, Flagg, Maulach, Evans, Ngongba, Knueppel, Harris. That's 10, which leaves 3 scholarships to work with, providing I'm correct about who stays & goes.

  4. Mark Mitchell will definitely be missed. I’m not sure what people see when they see him giving his all. I hope it’s not set in stone that he’s leaving. We definitely need his experience and leadership with this young class coming in.
