Sorry everyone. Major technical glitch there. I did an hour of live-streaming. Seemed perfectly normal my end but obviously not going public as it should have. So I’m re-scheduling this livestream for 21:30 CET. Hope you can join me!
Red Bull-Honda made it look easy in Japan – but that is the epitome of the art. Lots to talk about as we look back at the one-two finish for Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. Ferrari had another strong weekend – as did McLaren-Mercedes and Aston-Mercedes’ Fernando Alonso. What, though, of Mercedes? They were beaten again by two of their customer teams – and Lewis Hamilton could finish only P9 after moving over for George Russell in the early phase of the race. Further down the field, Alpine-Renault also continue to implode, being the subject of no fewer than 20 overtakes in the course of the race. Esteban Ocon finished a brilliant fourth for Alpine in 2022; this year he was P15. Join us as we talk through these issues – and more – as we connect the dots between F1’s past, present and future. Join us on YouTube live chat or watch the complete video at your leisure.

Hello Peter, no need to apologize at all.. Your valued insights are always appreciated, whenever, where ever..
I’m getting retirement vibes from Fernando. If he can’t have RB for a year he’s sounding like a man who’s a bit bored as is.
So once again he could set the season off. Sainz to Aston would then really work and offer a 3+1 type possibility for Sainz.
If Checo collapses harder
Than ‘23 then Sainz seems
A shoe in at the soft drinks vendor.
Pete, do you know what is going on at Merc, re Lewis? He has had a very poor start to the season. Yet Toto has admitted that they are experimenting on Lewis's car which compromised his performance.
Peter I love your talks. Long time fan. I was at Hockenheim when Jim Clark died. Can you talk a bit about what happens on the pit wall? Do they have any control of the car or is it all just reccomendations for adjustments on the steering wheel? Also, what can be altered on the steering wheel?
Peter we all respect and love for your insights but sometimes your biased approach towards Mansell is ridiculous. At 18 : 00 you were talking about Piquet and you had to bring Nigel into that. You don't need to degrade one to praise the other. That's not expected from you.
You said Nigel would have easily beaten Prost in the Williams but Prost bullied Mansell in their Ferrari year at 1990 when Prost scored 71 and Nigel scored 37.
I always wondered if throughout your years watching F1 is there a driver and team combination you would have liked to see together?
Enough with the Carlos Sainz hype. Yes he is very much the driver in form at the moment, but just because he lucked into 3 wins when Max was having car issues does not make him a championship caliber driver. Charles Leclerc has beaten both Max and Lewis on merit to win races. I suspect all this hype will fade before the end of the season as it did last year when Leclerc destroyed him after Singapore and almost won the Las Vegas GP on pure pace against Max. And you are all acting like Ferrari is replacing Michael Schumacher with Pastor Maldonado, when in fact they are replacing a good driver with a great champion.
Peter: Max driving style mid corner this and mid corner that
Max: I have no driving style, every turn, car, tire and situation is different and I adjust to that

Happy Birthday Peter 🇮🇪💚🏁
Hulk is class Act.
33:00 Fernando has friends and Albon said he still is "in with the kids" with the likes of the younger drivers
1:38:00 A lot say Fernando actually, including Max
Lot of those guys have passed on RIP..James,Murray,Gilles,Tyrell,Chapman,Reutermann, And Others.😌
Miss Bernie.
The excuses for Lewis are so out of hand
Now I am convinced you're better off reading out questions without bothering to affix them to the screen. Definitely more conversational, nearly an Italian vibe. I should know…
Wishing you a Happy Bday—-Enjoy to the Max—-PS i am the same model year a bit later in the year 😊 Regards CKG
2:04:32 Surprisingly simplistic take on what sports psychologists do and their potential value. Checo 2024 vs. Checo 2023 seems a perfecf example, going by his performance so far this season and his recent Beyond the Grid interview. Plus Peter himself so often alludes to the effect of driver pairings on driver performance and what could that be other than driver psychology? Even the comments about Charles Leclerc that come next strike the same note about why performance coach is the role to buffer the organizational chaos around a driver.
Hey Peter always a pleasure watching your streams/ videos. Fellow Aussie here living in the South East of Spain 😄
I really wanted to ask the question last night during your live stream;
Do you believe that if Arrivabene was still in charge at the Scuderia in 2022 (when Ferrari had a really competitive car) would there have been more of a championship fight? I mean less mistakes on the pit wall in crucial moments and the sort.
What makes me ask this is, I was rewatching many race replays from back when Mauricio was in charge and seeing how Ferrari were performing, I just think that maybe in 2022, we may’ve been able to REALLY take it to RedBull. I am a through and through Tifosi since I was 6 and I am now 34 years old, so my curiosity stems from here 😂
Once again thank you so much for your awesome content, wisdom, enthusiasm and everything else.
P.S it also really bugged me, as it must’ve a lot of your other followers, the comment about “you shouldn’t talk about the past”
I absolutely love visualising in my minds eye every moment you describe from back in the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s etc.
For me a Grand Prix weekend isn’t started nor finished until we have your vids on FP, Quali and the Race
Thank you so much for your brilliant efforts
Looking forward to your China GP weekend analysis and the next live stream

So, max was terrible for f1 back in tne day but he cant comment on the current people running it?
Is he employed by them? In debt to them? Trying to get a job with f1 again?
Yuki-Aston Martin ✔️
In football terms the glazers at utd are buisness men who hired bankers to Run The Football Side.why Poor 10 years.
RIP Niki
😂 good bit to know about the seat painting. Had no idea. Will be at the Chinese GP. 2nd time ever watching F1 live. Been a fan since 2001. Tickets were soldout within 5 minutes of going live… 400 000+ capacity. If all was above board it should be a fullhouse.
Yes Dangerous Sport Still is..Not be Taken Lightly.
We don't need hate for max Marko Lewis in comments jog On somewhere Else.
Lando let Checo pass him easily to show Horner that Lando can be a good team player for RB 😅
It’s interesting that Pete doesn’t think Zac brown is a “racer” given that he’s apparently pretty good behind the wheel.
I can see where Pete is coming from, Zac does seem very very business focused (dare I say American?!), but I would think the racer in him would poke out at least a bit?
Great live Peter! Thanks for doing it after the tec problems. Heard the entire thing!
Another day, another pointless and silly AD2021 lamentation.
What a man living in his own matrix….what a clown with prejudice

Thanks Peter for live stream, always pleasure to listen. Precision for Prost’s nicknamed, he was nicknamed the professor by Michelin engineers in Renault years, as explaine in a uspasquier interview years ago. I think after win in austria 83, as against Michelin engineers, Prost choose “weird” mix of different compounds right/left, front/left, which was possible at the time. That started in French press and globally thereafter. I remembered him called the professor during McLaren years well in his active career.
And Osama Bin Russel is even lying, because he wasnt doing anything with the wheel. OMEGALUL
Great show Mr Windsor. Love it when you talk about the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s and all the folks you know
Would love to hear Scarbs and Peter explain how Ferrari have made clear improvements without making drastic aero changes ? Scarbs made it sound like Ferrari would drop back after expertly examining the testing sessions in Bahrain. Very curious indeed.
I've spotted Lewis chatting to Jock Clear several times over the years in the paddock so I do think they'll be close or at least have some level of engagement
