Abu Dhabi Sports Council, with EMSO held round 3 of the Abu Dhabi Baja Challenge at the weekend in Al Ain’s desert. A full entry list sees bikes and cars competing for top honors and prize money. EMSO arranged a race across 3 laps of the specially designed desert circuits. Bikes about 29kms and cars 26 kms. The circuits clearly marked to aid competitors in all classes. Mohammed and his team enter the Nissan Patrol in the T1 class and with Ali Hassan reading the notes. The Nissan performs well in the soft sand and progress is good. The exceptional crew bring the Nissan home first in the T1 class and 5th overall. The Nissan still sports the Dubai Intl Baja 23 stickers with number 601 in the National Class. Hopefully the team from Qatar will enter the final round next month.
