What you miss, is Spain didn't have the better ingredients. Morocco did. They let spain play the way spain want and still fail at it because morocco controlled the game with tremendous players.

I'll be honest,spain had actual chances to win this just by some few adjustment and pick ups from the bench,morocoo has players who were specificly trained for this kind of match.
If you didnt notice hard enough,morocoo was winning from the 90+ min,they litterely beated up spain in mind games by making them more nervous,lowering their confidence…everyone know spain are weak to penalties which stressed them out even more,spain could've won,but morocoo was controlling the match just by heavy defense which killed their oppenement mentally.
