I wonder if he would have felt “speechless” captaining Ireland as well? Nothing but respect for Rice as a player and he seems like a good person. But he did Ireland dirty in the manner in which he used them as a stepping stone. I get it, he was born and raised in England and he took advantage of legal FIFA rules. But that’s the one thing about him I don’t respect.
