Goals from Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo either side of a screamer from Alexis Mac Allister gave the Reds all three Premier League points at Anfield, despite Gus Hamer forcing an own goal to give Jürgen Klopp’s side a minor scare.

  1. Still, Manchester City is the favorite to win the trophy. However, Liverpool FC is struggling to penetrate the defense of bottom teams. In terms of teamwork, Liverpool is far behind compared to Manchester City. While Manchester City plays as a team, Liverpool is dependent on the individual performances of its players. We managed to score the first goal due to a mistake by the goalkeeper. Additionally, Maca's goal was a result of his personal performance rather than teamwork. Only Gakpo's goal can be considered as a result of team work. But, things might change when players return from injury.

  2. Macca was great but I’d like to emphasise the importance of having a left-footed LB. Joe is doing great this season and filled in gaps perfectly but we saw in this game what a natural LB brings to the table — two crosses and two goals, though Macca’s was after intervention of the opposition defence. You must have specialist LB and RB, so that to keep the momentum and cross into the box right away
