  1. I can see both sides with Timo Werner. He improves the squad as I see him an upgrade over Gil, Richarlison (as a left sided forward) and Soloman. He already has more goal contributions (5) than all of those players put together (Richarlison – 2 as left winger, Soloman 2 assist). Therefore the signing was a success and he has improve the squad and first XI especially now that Son is being played as a striker. However Ange has explicitly state that his goal is to challenge for the title next year. Therefore the standard of a signing isn’t just to improve the team or first XI but to elevate Tottenham to compete with Man City/Arsenal/Liverpool. Using that standard all signings have to be at a standard that you can see them be at minimum be a bench player of the top 3 club or if they are youth player the potential to reach that standard. That’s the only way to bridge the gap and I just don’t see Timo as a player to bridge that gap.

  2. The owners are only interested in building the hotels and the apartments for their own profit. Don’t believe if they receive an injection of cash, it will go towards better player wages to attract top players to the club or transfers. They are not interested in building a football infrastructure, but infrastructure on marketing, real estate and branding. See, no European championships, Spurs lose money. Build a world class team that competes in European championships and the money and profit will follow.

  3. Entirely agree about Werner IFF we don’t keep Solomon and we get a high-level starting winger. This assumes Gil goes and Sonny and Richie both focus centrally…

  4. 😮Timo does not improve the squad his finishing skills and passing are almost Sunday league. I have watched Spurs for over 60 years and he has to be the most one dimensional players ever. Run yes but that's it. Moreover why is it that appears all my Spurs friend that l know who actually watch the game without alcohol think that Son has been poor for over half the games and countless times should have been subbed. Teachers pet we call him. Like the guys personality but not fooled by him. We can all talk the talk but you got to walk the walk. He loses the ball so many times . ( Cost us a goal the other day )He is lighter and Gil. Don't people actually watch him when he plays and l mean really watch him. He runs pass people but can never dribble pass anyone. The only player with exceptional dribbling skills is Gil. Our manager hung him out to dry against City putting him up against the premiership strongest and fastest defender. Richie should come on at half time in most recent games but no he puts him on the 85 th minute. He is our most technical header in the squad. Son has a golden ticket can't do any wrong in our managers eyes and we all know why. Only idiots say Gil is to light weight that what they said White ,Hoddle and of course Modric the whole Tottenham staff were against putting Modric in midfield say he was to light. But Harry ignored them and look what happened.
