Poor result, but Isak and Barnes seem to be creating a strong partnership. Don't want Isak to go anywhere.

What bugs me is that players put their arms behind their backs in the penalty area so they don't give handball but then throw players to the floor knowing VAR is now in operation. To be fair every corner is a penalty due to the amount of holding that goes on so don't get why more penalties aren't given after a corner? Clearly VAR officials ingorning the obvious.

Dumb and Dummett made a stupid mistake granted, but we had a decent number of chances to score throughout the game and didn't, so we can't put all the blame on him. Plus, we just look so fractured as a team at this point and it's honestly stressful to watch us now playing with what little skeleton crew we have left.
What Dummett did is unacceptable at this level. What was he thinking?

How is Dummet still playing top tier level is absolutely baffling.
Insane how that penalty is goven but Brentford were denied a carbon copy of it against Burnley which wouldve given brentford a draw with 10 men. No consistency with officiating.

Newcastle at times seem to switch off, watched first 45 mins, you could see Everton finding it hard but, they never give up, kept running. At times in first half, you could see lack of effort from magpies, laziness, and openings, seeing it as draw at the end, wasn't a surprise. Newcastle inconsistent. This is why, mid table team, this season. 10th 11th 12th

Gotta say, after 24 games without a goal, to take a penalty in the 88th minute to rescue a much needed point took some serious balls from DCL. He could easily have handed over responsibility to someone else, but he stepped up and finished it (just!). Hopefully he'll kick on and get a few more before the season finishes, we desperately need a striker scoring regularly!
