Southgate is more concerned with being liked and creating 'a nice atmosphere' in the dressing room and that's how he picks a team. In other words, he's a woman.
Ironic that the pundit normally complaining about players having a sense of entitlement is the one saying England SHOULD win the Euros. No, England have a good set of players who COULD go and win the Euros. Many other nations will think the same of their team. That’s it.
I know this was a friendly game.However I great 💯 Southgate isn’t the manager to the best of these talent players. He is very very good politicians and articulate with the media and perhaps good with man management but isn’t at all a football tactical manager.
If everyone's fit Madison doesn't start.
Whenever we play a team that can beat us… we lose! He's useless! He's to defensive without being good at defence and has no sense of tactics 😅.

Madders deserves more game time as well as play a similar role he does for Spurs. Southgate's too defensive. He should at least have a balance between attack and defense. England will tick for sure if Southgate is open to explore different tactics. He's wasting the great talents

Lotus-Cheek not being in the squad is criminal, he's playing very well and playing consistently for AC Milan he deserves to be in the squad at least and given a chance….. Southgate is out of his depth

Southgate is an average manager with an average gameplan……he doesnt have the know how to win it for us. Too defensive and safe

I’ve been saying for donkeys years every qualifying group England get have been the so called minnows of world football and when they qualify and meet the bigger teams they are totally out of their depth, so in a nutshell they will win nothing in a long foreseeable future .

The bigger picture is surely that England has a manager in place that appears to be more interested in the politics of woke virtue signalling than winning top football honours. We have some great players but an inadequate manager.

Who were those 21 games against though? Yes we played Italy a few times, but Italy have been on a downward trajectory since the last Euros, so they don't count.
