      Such a shame that this guy wasted the last 4-5 years, just sitting on the bench. Prime Bale was so OP..

      I'm actually sad at how all of this happened. Bale didn't care a bit. And that's your carreer, now. You scored a lot of goals, was a great player – but will be remembered as a benchwarmer for Real.

      His bycicle kick in the UCL final tho – that was the best ever. Even outclassing Zidane.

      Ultimately – what a waste. Dude could've reached the GOAT status, had he just had his head in the right place..

      Im sure he had a good life the last years, but for the fans its pretty sad that he wasted the majority of his career in madrid.

      Overated his best ever season was 21 goals and 4 assists Walcott had 14 goals and 10 assists in the same season. Henry had 24 goals and 20 assists in one season. Bale was a speed merchant and a powerful athlete and as soon as he lost that he was trash.

      Despite injuries, I don't believe Gareth Bale was ever in poor form. Looking at his numbers, whenever he can play he always scores. 20 appearances and 11 goals at Spurs; even his later years at RM his numbers weren't bad at all, consistent with his prime years. LAFC is very lucky to have him and only paying him USD 1.3 mil. a year is technically a steal.

      I used to say he was the British isles version of Ronaldo. In his prime he was unplayable. No one could stop him. He had the athleticism and perfected the technique of how to strike a ball. His shooting alone is world class level.
