Kicking away the ball while the ref has whistled is a straigth yellow cards, the rule litterly says that and u see that all the time when a player kicks away the ball after the ref has whistled, they get booked! So, the fact that Van Persie got a second yellow which equals to a red, for kicking away the ball is just idiotic from Van Persie and it doesn’t matter if he couldn’t hear it! You simply don’t kick away the ball after the ref has whistled, it’s a no no, u litterly ask the ref to give a yellow card

Graham poll didnt mistook Simunic for a team mate, he wrongly booked Australia's #3 player instead of Simunic for his 2nd yellow card. Thats why Poll didnt see the 2nd yellow turning to red for Simunic. When he finally showed the 3rd yellow, he saw the 1st yellow for Simunic correctly. Also, fun fact… Simunic was born in Canberra, Australia so when he was arguing with Poll during his 2nd yellow, Poll mistook him as an Australian player due to his accent and made wrong entry. Ridiculous to say the least. 🤣🤣🤣
