Takehiro Tomiyasu has signed a new contract at Arsenal until 2026 with the option of a further year.
The Japan international has made 73 Arsenal appearances in all competitions since joining from Serie A side Bologna in August 2021.

Very sad deal. I love Tomi but clearly the club do not expect him to ever get over his injury issues as 2 years on a new deal for a player of his age is unheard of at clubs like Arsenal. I think it is clear that Tomi has something fundamentally wrong with his body that will mean his is always injured or due a injury. There is no way on Earth Arsenal give a polayer of his level only 2 years. In fact it is at the 2 year point clubs start to renew players deals.
