We need to mention Ten Hag more when talking about showing Ronaldo he is not above the team. He is the first manager that held Ronaldo accountable to a standard of both discipline and performance. Doubt he'd ever be benched for Portugal without the precedent from being stood up to by the Man Utd manager.
Craig you got this wrong on the comparison of what's happening with united and Portugal and respect. He doesn't respect ETH not because he doesn't play him, it's the way ETH treats him. You can't say this week I don't play him because I have respect for his career and then you ask him to go in minutes to the end of the game, that will bring out disrespect from anybody, not just Ronaldo.

People don't realize that CR7 relationship with Santos is far bigger than what they see – Santos was his coach in Sporting when he was a kid, they are friends since and they talk, they both want the best for Portugal. Portugal has just 2 international trophies, and they got them because these 2 worked well together, CR7 saved Portugal so many many times, he is the leader of this team, that is not changing anytime soon. He already said he is going to play the next Euro Cup.
One of the reasons for CR7's grumpy attitude at the end of the match, was also Rafa Leaoo's goal! Cuz, think about it – Ronaldo did have a couple of chances in this match, but didn't score, therefore he could've said, he played very few minutes (about 20) and it's understandable.
However, once Rafa scored he's usual Milan stunner, and got in around 87th minute so… CR7 hasn't got a single thing to complain about. At least, nothing that holds water!
And as a result of it, fans will once again say that Santosh should be playing Rafa in front of Ronaldo. And could u blame them?!?
