Raheem Sterling is a controversial figure at Chelsea Football Club right now. With a £325,000 a week wage, one of the highest in the Premier League, Chelsea fans expect this former England International footballer to produce significant results for the team. But in recent times, it’s the younger players at Chelsea like Mudryk and Palmer who are delivering in key moments, with Raheem often absent.

In this video I go through a detailed analysis using performance data to indicate if Sterling is in fact producing results for Chelsea. I look at his passing, his output in terms of goals and assists, his defensive positioning and his overall game to see if it’s harsh to call him out.

In the second half of the video I go through Mudryk’s performances this season and compare Sterling and Misha’s impact.

  1. Trying to be fair? Hah! The modus operandi here was always about slating the guy.
I wish we were seeing more from him, but can you really deny that sterling is trying?
As for the repeated point drop on the weekly salary, if anything, the criticism should be on the club for believing he was ever worth that much.

  2. Why are you slagging of Sterling sure he as had bad games even against Leicester he was very bad but he still had an impact on the game in my time we never slagged the team unlike all you new fans and glory hunters

  3. Mudryk should spend more time in the 10 to grow confidence before chucking him in the wings again. Sterling to be replaced by a seasoned left wing for now

  4. I’ve wanted Sterling out all season I’m just happy ppl are starting to agree, I’m happy ppl are starting to grow support for misha because he should be number 1 he’s showed he can do it

  5. Does anyone think that the manager playing Sterling is a contractual thing? Like if he doesn't play we will be forced to pay him a fee like what Fulham just did for Broja…cause ain't no way Managers don't see his selfish ways on the field

  6. I'm 100% with you, Josh. The problem goes beyond Sterling. Poch is the problem for me. He refuses to see what the rest of the world is finding so obvious.

  7. One player Chelsea will not miss is Sterling fluffs every one on one with goalkeepers is absolutely hopeless at dead ball situations (apart from the goal he scored must have miss kicked it ) doesn’t pass the ball to players who have an open goal but still gets picked go figure I’d sit him in the stand , Chelsea should take a lose just to get him out of the club or just don’t play him

  8. Will you please leave Sterling alone. Try supporting a player!! I'm so fed up with this shit. Support your club, support your players!! Yes he's made mistakes so what. Maybe he knows you lot will be on his back, which adds pressure!!

  9. Sterling needs our support during this tough time. At least can we stop booing him. That's totally unacceptable. He's a human being 🤦🏽‍♂️😠
