Craig needs to simply keep his mouth shut when it comes to Barcelona. He really had the nerve to say Joao Cancelo was left out the squad at times making it sound bad but in reality he was left out due to his relative facing heart problems. Embarrassing from Craig just cause ur a former player don’t mean u can say whatever u want as if ur even right.
Out of the 2 Joaos, Barcelona should sign Joao Cancelo on a permanent basis over Joao Felix and we know how both players have complicated problems at their parent club.
We remember how Joao Cancelo fell out of favor with Pep Guardiola and obviously Manchester City don’t want him back and for the most part this season for Barcelona, he’s been excellent and has been one of the rare players on the team who’s actually been fit for most of their games. He can play LB RB he’s more of a winger/midfielder in the fullback position and going forward he offers something different to the Barcelona team and they finally have a proper attacking fullback who can create something out of nothing something they’ve needed since Jordi Alba and Dani Alves left.
I’m skeptical towards Joao Felix in a sense that once again he’s been decent for Barcelona where he’s looked good at times and other times you don’t see enough out of him. BTW he has scored home and away against Atletico Madrid this season.
One of the things that bothers me when we talk about Joao Felix is how everyone blames Diego Simeone and Atletico Madrid for his development when the reality is he’s an inconsistent player who’s never been able to truly settle at a club and in the summer again he has an uncertain future. He’ll most likely never play for Atletico Madrid ever again as long as Diego Simeone is their manager and they’re going to want to sell him for big money, but if you’re Barcelona, why spend over 70-75 million for an attacker who’s not been consistent enough not just this season but throughout his career. He’s one of those players that need a proper system which can help him thrive and whatever club he has played for, it’s been difficult for managers to get the best out of him is he a winger an attacking midfielder or a CF what role suits him best as you see him dribbling or linking up the play since he’s creative and always wants the ball to his feet, but there’s not an aspect of his game that makes him elite in my opinion. They might sign him on a second loan, if not Atletico Madrid will try to move him on or send him to the stands until his contract expires or maybe find a new club in Saudi Arabia or a team that wants him, he just cannot settle at a club.
I think Barca will sing Cancelo but will pass Felix.. Cancelo is really good player.
