He’s MORE THAN WELCOME to leave. He’s been one of the most calamitous CBs we’ve ever had at that club. Conceding penalties, scoring own goals and making errors leading to goals every other week
F78K Moyes! He needs to announce leaving now! If Moyes stays/signs a new contract – I’m not watching any games after this season! Don’t need the stress and boredom. Far too many things to do than watch Moyes turgid football
Don’t let Moyes forget- He tracked him for 2yrs!!!!!
West Ham were very understanding when Declan Rice wanted to play for Ireland"
No one is suited to the David Moyes style of play, That's why Moyes is gone in the summer.
I don’t blame any West Ham player who wants to leave to play football.😩⚒
Boys! I pay subs and rate the content and you both. However Moyes and the West Ham saga is get in to the stage I am both happy contributing to the site while not watching everything due to anything that involves Moyes now just iritates me!
He won’t be the last if Moyes gets a new contract. McGuire will be on his way in the summer and any defensive midfielders Moyes can cram into our midfield 🤷🏻
Its as important to African players as euro championships is to Bowen and any British player bad treatment by moyes and sullivan complete dickheads.🤔🤡🤡
every new agent does this its how they make their money
You are Scottish……I've not come across you till now and the English boy, by his accent, he could be from elsewhere……I love your content. ……from a Scottish lassie. Nearly 50 yrs old,,,,my husband and children are St Mirren fans 57, 32 and 30……God love you both……🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
Unfortunately class defenders don’t tend to look good in this system.
Aguerd has never felt to be like he's accustomed to the team, from the early days when Geo pointing out him arguing with team mates, to him hiding in the corner of the dressing room when we celebrated the cup win. I wonder how much Moyes calling him Nathan for 6 months put his back up, or weather he just didn't settle to English life.
Don’t blame him. He’s a decent CH but not in the 💩 system Moyes insists on playing
He’s ruined at least 3 of the current team
I thought we had a high class talented centre back when bought going the same way as so many other players no one wants to stay i wonder why err
Bye
Finally some good news
Another Moyes signing and another inevitable big cash loss. I'm not sure there's a more wasteful manager out there than Moyes. Get him out FFS.
Great news…he is a moaning baby. Always sour faced when he is the one at fault. Winning winning. Just a poor attitude. Poor defender with zero ability to read the game. Yes we do t always play to his strength but come on! He is a pro and is highly regarded…to have zero defensive intelligence is inescusable. Good riddance
Can people not see that Moyes is either driving players away or absolutely ruining them?
I don't 'understand', 'we' pay his wages, did he offer to forego his wages whilst he was 'prioritising' something else?
My only issue with all the Moroccan stuff with Aguerd is you have a parallel example with Kudus. Can’t convince me he isn’t as proud or committed to his national side, yet one of them still turned it up for West Ham, the other didn’t. Don’t blame him for wanting to leave Moyes though, but we don’t know if he’s even gonna be here or not
good.. I mean Alvarez had to go back and help him out in our last game or we would have conceded another goal. shocking
Hi Geo and Gonzo, Nayef Aguerd.. I’m going to do the same thing I did on JWP on one of West Ham Networks videos (Basically share my thoughts on the duration of his time there) – It’s not that difficult as he’s only been here around 18 months, and during that time he has had an injury and represented his country in two major tournaments, so his time in a West Ham shirt hasn’t actually been that long.
When Aguerd joined, I was happy with the signing as I think it was apparent we needed a left footed centre back because our level really dropped when we lost Ogbonna to injury. I feel the drop off was so apparent (when Ogbonna got injured) because since day 1 under Moyes, we have always been a team HEAVILY reliant on fast transitions, and a left-footed CB allowed us to play pretty much percentage passes forward as soon as the ball was regained – slightly off-topic, but we have very rarely played a massively successful possession-based game under Moyes, but to reiterate my point, I was happy when Aguerd joined.
As soon as Aguerd arrived he was hit with a pretty bad injury; in a new country, for a new side. He seemed to have worked extremely hard on his rehab and kept a good mentality. I know he went to spend time with the Morrocco National set up to help him with his rehab which I think is fair given he spent a fair amount of time doing it at the club. He clearly has a very high opinion of his national manager; I see a video of him paying his manager huge praise, despite being at Rush Green. You would have thought he would be more focused on the West Ham side of things, though he didn’t seem to mention Moyes once. He clearly doesn't rate Moyes much in my opinion, and to be honest, I don’t blame him. I think he has seen through him during this whole transition and how rigid and just generally not very adaptable he really is (just to put it in perspective, people are very pro-Moyes (the very few left), people will say Moyes has done a fantastic job because of some good league finishes, Morocco's manager had them finishing 3rd in the world cup. In my opinion, respect is earned and I don't think Aguerd has been won over by Moyes particularly. Respect is a two-way street, and let's not forget, Moyes has called Aguerd; Nathan Ayguard for 18 months now. Also, in all fairness, Aguerd can speak 3,4 languages, carries himself well and like Gonzo said, just generally comes across well. This could be more relative to my next point (the football) but there were some calls for him to be captain after Rice, I seem to remember. He was certainly one of the candidates mentioned most. So in terms of personality, if there is an element of that towards him ‘wanting’ a move away, I feel I would personally lean towards Aguerd, just on a personal level. It's not that deep, I know, but if it is a personal issue, I just feel I would lean towards Aguerd in most cases; I don’t think Moyes has come off well on a personal level A LOT during his tenure.
To the football, like I said, Aguerd joined and immediately got injured. We were supposed to start the season with him but we ended up playing Zouma and Dawson (I believe) and yeah, we weren't great for large spells while he was out. That’s not to say him being out was the reason for us to starting last season so poorly, it's just a point. If I were to look at the numbers, I would hazard the guess that he is probably the CB that has started most games this season for us (before the AFCON, he was the CB constantly playing twice a week and we were 6th and going well in Europe, despite the fact he had made individual errors. I would argue the point that for large spells if not all of this season hasn’t been the most complimentary of his playing style. There have been games (not necessarily against just the best/better teams in the league) we have played way too deep for way too long. I would argue Aguerd suits playing in a side that plays a slightly higher line than we have all year. I still feel he’s an asset. I would say there are a lot of managers who look at that squad and pick him, as Moyes was consistently before AFCON and every time he was available last season. He would also be an outstanding left-sided CB of a 3 and is potentially the second-best left-back we have at the club. It’s important to not get Moyesed in your outlook on football, in my opinion. Aguerd is not the best CB when it comes to defending the 6 yard box, but he has tonnes of other assets. I honestly think it has a lot to do with a personality clash. If I'm being honest, I’d sooner see that side be managed by a new manager next season and keep Aguerd than Aguerd leave and Moyes stay.
Just my opinion.
MOYES OUT, MOYES OUT, MOYES OUT!
I think I've made my mind up, If the board don't relieve Moyes of his duties by the end of this contract, I'm out.
The thing is he should leave but, I don't think he should leave as Zouma as he still has a part to play. He is now a passenger at times with no pace which is unfortunetly as I think he has a lot of talent. He is no Paul McGrath from the late 80s. I still want Aguerd and Mavropanos to be our two centres defenders this season. Otherwise we are stuck in a low block to make way for Zouma. I feel sorry for Zouma but he has to go as he is too broken.. You can get away with his lack of ball playing when he was not hampered. How can we move up if one of our CD's can't run? I don't want to discard him as he has been good when he is at his best. Unfortunately we live in a cruel world. Zouma would be good when we are 2-0 against Man City or Arsenal moving to a 5-3-2 to see out the game.
Not a big loss. He has cost us too many points and always looks mistake prone.
Definite trend re occurring here yet another player that has been Moysed at the circus 😂😂😂 👍🏻⚒
Everyone is unsuited to David Moyes football style ffs!
Don’t worry, Maguire will be house hunting in East London in a few weeks!
He is leaving.
Kudus contract is small.. he should find something bigger
I don't think this case can just be put to DM. Maybe the whole organisation if the upper levels have an impact here, the fact we did not strengthen in January, as you say the club wanting players in the side when not fit. Seems here there could be many reasons. We should let him go before things get ugly. It's a shame but he's not what we need.
Totally agree about Dawson, we need a commanding CB, not a twinkle toes. Currently Id rather see Oggy in there.
He’s worth a goal a game to the oppo – for whatever reason he wants to go, see ya
Scouted for two years and then gone pretty soon after
This Moyes MOT is a load of crap
Moyes wanted this player for two seasons, gets him and then has no clue how to get the best out of him . Aguerd thrives in a ball playing possession based side which is everything Moyes is against doing.Classic Moyes.
Simply put, who cares? He was mistake prone in France, now he’s still that but in a system where it’s exposed more.
Aguerd isn’t as good as Ballon Dawson, that says everything, the difference between Dawson is Dawson put his club before anything
No loss either him or Moyes in my opinion
I don't think he's good enough.. Good performances have been rare. Prefer Mavrapanos.
Another one bites the moyses dust..aherd has a sweet left foot and he's a left back not a centre half
Him and his family probably dislike the UK weather, and who can blame them.
I don’t think there is a project. I believe Bowen signed a long term deal because the club have promised him a way out and in return he signs a bigger deal to bump up the price!
Agured is a top defender frrrr can’t blame him for wanting to leave , an other masterclass player is being destroyed by Moyes …
Being a west ham supporter for over 60 + years we have always had a strong defence, Aguerd is not fit to wear a shirt has put us into a lot of trouble and giving goals.
