  1. That free kick deserved booing. Professional footballer paid millions a year and he skies a free kick miles high and wide from 20 yards. Joke of a player. The less said about the penalty the better.

  2. Sterling has been poor for close to 3 months now, even going as far as before Christmas. Fans were already angry with that, and the fact that he was starting over mudryk who’s been in good form yet Sterling has been playing over him despite poor form. Sterling has taken opportunity from other players like mudryk and madueke and hasn’t offered anything but fluke goals and assists to offset his overall poor game. All this has culminated into 80% of the fan base hating to see his name on the team sheet and wanting him sold. The booing is warranted because we aren’t happy and we want them to know that. He’s 29 earning 375k a week, he needs a bit of pressure to stop being lazy.

  3. The booing comes from his lack of desire to track back… make runs… make tackles. If he did some of that he'd be forgiven for taking pens away from our best player and missing and skying free kicks

  4. It called “standards” something that’s lost in English football these days. Players need to be held accountable. It’s no coincidence that Real Madrid have success constantly

  5. You don't watch chelsea. There are players you can say give everything. Sterling is NOT one of them. If you are going to pundit you need to watch the games

  6. Chelsea fans are booing Sterling because of what he has been doing over the last few weeks – constantly losing possession, running down blind alleys, not passing when team mates are in better positions to score and failing to track back and help the defender on his side – and not just on what he did yesterday though taking the ball away from Palmer twice when Chelsea needed to score did not help. He has been poor for weeks but still gets picked. Mudryk scores then gets left out the next match. The boos were partly for Sterling but they were also for the "Spurs" manager Pochettino.

  7. Tell us one reason why he shouldnt be booed, he hasnt done anything for us, am not sure he has scored 15 pl goal in 2 season and he his our highest paid player, I guess you guys just love seeing us lose cause if not you wont be here accusing us of booing someone who clearly dont care about us winning rather care about himself alone and for me he need to be benched and sold at the end of the season and if Posh keep playing him like we owe him anything then he should be booed every time he on the ball

  8. the only times Sterling has shown any interest in a match is when its against City his former club other times he is consistently bad, selfish and lazy in his play

  9. Football is a product. Fans pay for the product, hence demand the quality of the product. He is booed not just because he misses 100% goals and has cost the team so many points. He is booed because he is supposed to be a role model yet he is playing selfishly for his self-glory rather than the team. There is no other reason to take that penalty from Palmer than selfishness. Pundits can also shove up their protection of players like him where there is no sun shining.

  10. He works hard for himself 😂 no one else, if he worked for the team he’d never have took the ball from palmer pen or FK he’d have laid the ball off the 3 opportunities that he hasn’t taken this season, he’d track back. Sterling is out for himself which is fair he is a human being and has every right to be selfish, but the fans have equal and every right to boo him when this is what they’re seeing, he wants to inflate himself for a big move on astronomical wages

  11. City fan here – I'm still of the opinion that the £50m transfer fee we got from Chelsea for Sterling, plus all of his £300k/wk wages off the books, was one of the best pieces of business our club has done, EVER! When we sold him, he'd barely had a decent game for us in one-and-a-half seasons – Mr Magoo must've been doing Chelsea's scouting, for sure. And then after he'd gone, he had the audacity to publicly criticize the club for his 'poor treatment' when he wasn't starting every week! The bloke's a delusional, overrated donut

  12. Never stops trying 😂😂😂 shut up Jeff. You clearly don’t watch Chelsea. If you did you would see the guy is overrated, overpaid and is a criminal to the club. Supposed to be the experience yet he is the one shooting us in the foot. Selfish and no motivation for the club. Poor signing from the beginning.
