  1. Footballers drop stinkers and play out of form. It happens, that's football. Think we need to reel in some of this criticism I've been seeing of him

  2. He’s poor, he’s been very poor for a while. But then we don’t call out mediocrity.
Running hard, quality on the ball, wanting the ball.
These things are basics and he doesn’t do it. He also misses a lot of chances.

  3. Yeah, dunno. Liverpool football culture is very attack minded. Needed to play smart after Elliot bagged one. Did not play smart.

Gakpo will still dominate lesser teams and take pressure off of Salah and Nunez.

  4. My analysis is: I think he is suffering a bit from being used in so many positions AND never used in his favorite position where he is best. Now he is also going through bad form, which becomes worse when he is not playing his most comfortable position

  5. i never understood why jota is always used on the left and gakpo in the middle. Why don't we have diaz + gakpo left wing, jota + nunez central?

  6. Some players appear to lack the intensity that is a hallmark of Klopp’s time at LFC. Gakpo appears lacklustre and somewhat listless. Gravenbirch similarly looks languid and slow. I would prefer Danna is played in front of Gakpo and Clark/Jones in front of Gravenbirch.

  7. a 5? He gifted United their 2nd goal when he tackled/passed the ball back toward our own goal. He was terrible in every respect, I give him a 1. You're too nice.

  8. I don't understand why we don't just play him in his best position. He's a left winger. When he comes on, either replace Diaz or if Salah comes off put Diaz on the right. Cody desperately needs confidence and playing in his preferred position will do that. He'll know where to be, when to make runs, and who to mark. When he plays central, on the right, or even in midfield he looks slow/lost. I think it has been mismanagement mostly. Buy a left winger and don't play him left wing? Doesn't make sense to me

  9. Paul made a great point- if Gakpo is our 5th choice attacker his stats are really impressive. Let’s not forget that his goals helped us win a cup this year (much like Minamino a couple of years ago, and he’s better than Taki).

Carra has got a point, he does take too long on the ball. He has been brought up the Dutch way and players rarely from the Dutch league transition well into the Prem (particularly attackers) due to the pace.

He was made captain of PSV at 19 for a reason. Let’s give him another season. He’s almost a victim of our system. Maybe a new manager with a different system gets more out of him?

  10. Dan clubbe, love what you have to say regarding the reds but why does literally every sentence you say have the word alluded in it? Slight exaggeration but come on mate😂

  11. Most of the things said in this video are fair but how on earth did you guys conclude with Gakpo costing us the game lol? Even for that 5v2 situation, while he could have done better, it was Elliott who actually put the nail in the coffin for that attack. And then Nunez and Elliott in turn directly cost us the game. Like literally. A striker comes on and his team concede 3 goals and you say the striker costs us the game???

  12. Here we go again…the redmen bias.🙄Why aren't you talking about Harvey Elliot.Ive said it before & ill say it again….Elliot is too weak & too slow.Which played out in their winning goal.At home yeah hes fine but away from home under the kosh Elliot is a massive liabilty….You say elliot is infront of Gapko 😆😆….i wish you would not let your obvious bias cloud what you say. Also Dominic Sob has not lived up to the price tag what so ever & the Liverpool media are critising Ryan Gravenbach who done as much as Sob,…this stinks ….it really stinks🤬🤬

  13. He plays better on the LW role. Darwin ST and hopefully the egyptian king will not leave this summer will play his RW role. We cannot expect every players to be versatile enough to play everywhere, and we are lucky to have one in the likes of Diogo Jota.

Either way let's just be happy and give Mr. Klopp a proper farewell season.

Summer will be busy for the club as a new manager will be needed as well as a left footed CB, DM and if Salah leaves will be another fast right winger.

  14. Solid player. He is completely different to what we have and it kind of creates a massive clash in styles. Issue is he is following up one of the best deep lying forwards to do it in the prem. He is slower and not as silky on the ball. Hopefully will come good. Has tons of potential.

  15. My honest thought about Gakpo is hes a good player for club and country! However im not a fan of Nunez and Gakpo both i felt that Liverpool signed both on a panic buy. But Liverpool is my club and they both represent the club so ive got to get behind them both they are a risky players but hey im not the manager

  16. I see a guy that is technically adept when he has that extra second of time but his flaws (lack of pace, questionable upper body strength and decision making when carrying the ball) were on full view yesterday

Good in the air, strong shot, but he says his best position is left wing – he’s not gog to beat any defender on pace so he would need the ball to do the work)

At times he looks like he is running in sand – he’s our fifth choice forward for 34m quid – that’s expensive when you consider what Danns might be able to do with 12 months expert coaching
