Argentina in the end drew this match after leading for most of it before the Lions scored a penalty in the last play to tie, which was unfortunate for Argentina as it seemed that injury time had finished but the referee allowed one last play.
However it was still a good result for a heavily depleted Argentine side, and a good way to end the careers of Pumas legends Mendez and Reggiardo.
