The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Brian Batko (@PGSportsNow) joins the “Bleav in Steelers” show as a guest.
First, Batko discussed his first interaction with former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor, when Taylor broke his forearm as a player.
Batko also shared his thoughts about the Steelers’ signing of Russell Wilson to a one-year deal. He outlines the pros and cons of Wilson at this stage of his career.
The guys also talked about the role head coach Mike Tomlin has played in the Steelers organization, and how it factors into how Wilson will interact with others in the locker room.
Next, the guys shared their thoughts on the signing of All-Pro linebacker Patrick Queen, who previously played for the Baltimore Ravens. Queen looks to fill a void at the inside linebacker position that the Steelers have tried to address since Ryan Shazier’s injury.
Last, the guys talk about the Steelers’ trade of Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers and the acquisition of cornerback Donte Jackson.
Batko also outlines the needs the Steelers still have this offseason.
