Why is pep apologising?! As a professional sportsperson who gets paid a large sum per week to perform being overweight/unfit isn't good enough and the manager should be allowed to highlight the problem.

IMO Kalvin was twice the player when he was carrying a bit more mass, he couldn't be shoved of the ball. Pep's obsession with low body fat has wrecked this particular players career.

It’s a mentality issue if it upset Kalvin.
I have sympathy because is normal human nature to not like being criticised.
However, he’s a professional athlete and your body fat and body weight is something you have almost a full degree of control over.
He’s surrounded by experts in nutrition, sport science, strength and conditioning, performance psychology etc.
He has all of the resources at his disposal. Just needs to take the mentality of:
“I don’t like being criticised and I’m struggling with my nutrition or alcohol intake, however, I’m a professional athlete in the best squad in world football. My standards need to reflect that otherwise I won’t make it here.”
