He might be alright , but there is considerable negative baggage from England fans that is just waiting to burst out if things dont go so alright. As an Arsenal fan this would be a fascinating watch.
Gareth Southgate unless he wins a major tournament with England, will struggle to get anything above the likes of the Everton job. He has been the caretaker of an English squad that arguably has the greatest collection of English talent since the Beckham, Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard, Ferdinand, Terry, Ashley Cole and Wayne Rooney days.
If you stick any quality manager into that job right now, that England team is potentially a world cup finalist if not winner.
