Pau Torres returned to Unai Emery’s Aston Villa starting line up this weekend, and Villa beat Fulham pretty comfortably. Coincidence? We think not.

I love how Dan accurately predicted his own reaction to Pau Torres.
For both the men and the women to go to the capital and get matching results was brilliant. Well done to both.
Man u winning wasn't the best they was so lucky again it can't last
100% 6points next 2 game's takes a bit of pressure off spurs game
It was a good win, the right response to the MUnited loss. What was also impressive is the energy and focus throughout even as it got more physical by Fulham.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves, one game at a time, blinkers on focused.
Great episode. Nice touch mentioning Mowbray
Emi actually owned upto the goal error he did call for it
Martinez has done an interview blaming himself and taking responsibility for goal . 👍. Lenglet had a great game tbf . Pau the passer wow hes unbelievable. UTV
The difference Tielemans makes to our attack has been wildly underestimated due to a stop start season, but I think he's brilliant. Would listen to your video waxing about him.
Johns intro is the noise I make when Bailey scores a banger 😂
James Milner won player of the season when on loan.
Need to see that sound from John edited into future videos 😂😂
Pau is class. His ball carrying and passing is next level. Some of the worst officiating I've seen in ages. Stone dead penalty, very dodgy offside
From the day they announced VAR I said when you have human element involved it's wide open to have mistakes and cheating for certain teams,
With regards to Torres, put it this way: if you were to make a world eleven but you had to have Emery as manager, then Pau gets in that team. And is probably the only villa player to get in that team. He’s the perfect profile of CB for an Emery team
Win our next 4 and we're well on our way. Don't worry about Spurs and Brighton. We've done the double over both of them last 2 seasons in a row.
Once again, another great podcast lads! 👏🏾 Loved the intro with John making that weird, funny sound! 😂 Also, the part when you were both discussing food at Villa made me genuinely laugh out loud as I found it hilarious how John referred to the burger van he used to eat at as the Legia mayonnaise guy one! 🤣 Side note, Mat Kendrick's Villa Voicenotes is a brilliant conception! 💯 I listened to all 3️⃣ episodes on Spotify this afternoon whilst I was working! 👌🏾 UTV! 🦁 💜 🩵
Robbie Keane was a good loan at the time, scored a few decent goals too.Pity we never got the chance to sign him when it mattered back then.
Forest and luton next 2 games are both 6 pts
A lot of the early ACL injuries were playing in the USA for pre season which I think was a big factor
Spurs have a hard run in , keep the faith John 🫣
Why are we talking about the top 5 as if thats a thing. no guarantee 5th is CL
On Duran, I like the lad, talented, unpredictable and I don't mind his temperament as I think it can be channeled. But to be fair he gets some stick because of his actions on and off the pitch, especially on social media. Notice how quiet its been as he isn't feeding the drama.
But all that aside, the real issue is his impatience and either he accepts he has a boss or he doesn't. Will leave that with Monchi and Emery to sort out.
Surprised Rogers wasn't mentioned??
And I will say, Watkins may not like to be challenged for #1, but he will need to get used to being pulled if he is not playing well or if they no fault of his, he is being nullified. He needs to keep improving his game and no one player has the absolute right to stay on the field.
The signing of Telamans reminds me of what John Gregory said about when he tried to get muzzy Isit. Where's he Gona play in the team? He's not Gona play he's going to sit on the bench. And you watch those other midfielders run around more cause they know he's waiting to come on and take their place.
Toress wouldn't look out of place in the Man City defence.
John taking his life into his hands by eating from a buffet at Old Trafford
Classic – digging out the officials, but not even knowing their names!
Re Youri video – international break?
Re Pau – Sits alongside Emi as seriously great
Lenglet for Mings I say. He has proven himself, and is 2 years younger. There is no way of knowing how Tyrone will come back…
Why are we talking about Emery’s favourite takeaway?
We all know the man doesn’t have time to eat… or sleep… although JT not liking lasagna is the biggest bombshell C&B have ever dropped!
I’m eating lunch now, rate it:
Chicken & stuffing sandwiches, with blue cheese and tomatoes on the side…
Respect John , I’m like you don’t eat cheese , 🤮people don’t understand it
Without these key injuries- we'd have another 8 points!
Aston villa great result against fulham ollie ollie o o what game must beat forest then skys the limit
Ming's
Injuries happen..the fact we dropped off a little shows the squad wasn't quite there to sustain a title challenge
