"Best player in the league" based on what? Jarrod Bowen has more goals than him,his work rate is impressive,MO Salah has more goals and assists than him,Bukayo Saka has more goals than him,I would really like to know how you come that conclusion.
If you want a player in a worse team to step up: saka, younger, a lot better stats, plays in a worse team, starts for country all the time, scores pens/outside the box, tap ins everything. Also worth more according to the transfer markets etc

Two amazing players and as a neutral I would love both in my team. Arsenal fans will say Saka and City fans Foden for me if I had to choose it would be Foden. The boy is a serial winner who can play a number of positions with no drop off in performance and is incredibly hard working. Also he is a big game player and when the most important games of the season arrive from the period now until the end you just know he will be there and will probably end up with all the medals again this season
Had this conversation with myself yesterday. Honestly I feel like there's not much between them. Like I don't think there's anything that clearly separates. As an arsenal fan I'd have either to be honest.

Foden IS def more technically gifted, no doubt, but Saka is waaay more consistent, so that makes Saka better. Howeve, IF Foden becomes more consistent, then he get this gunners nod.
Saka on the wing, Foden in the middle. Foden seems to be more of the all round player which suits him as a playmakers in the central roles

Foden starts for England. Saka doesn't.
Saka is remarkably consistently good, however Foden is much better on the ball. Stats wise they are about the same as each other. Consistency vs Technical prowess. That is a headache any manager would love! However if we are to win the Euros I think it will be because of either Foden or Bellingham. I think all 3 of them are world class but I feel Foden and Bellingham have that edge that you need if you are going to win a major trophy. I'm a neutral btw a Crystal Palace fan
