Imo we’re desperate for a Kante/Fernandinho/Winaldum/Guaye/Ndidi type box to box midfielder who will do the running of two players (noble and rice), break up the play when we’re counter attacked, and carry the ball forward at pace to break through the lines of a packed midfield (which we often struggle to open up)
Even getting Giroud and playing him at centre back would be better than Ogbonna. At least he would head away set pieces!!
Think we need the CM more than the CB, you said Lanzini, Nasri and Snodgrass can play there but they can’t, if we put Nasri or Lanzini as a CM next to rice we would get torn apart, those 3 are better at CAM, our midfield ain’t been good enough for years, in the summer we should chuck 40m at it and get 1 or 2 good players
So what happens if he gets a bad injury while still playing for Celta Vigo do we get are money back

We were linked we Che before he went to Birmingham & was only £3-4m now £15m bc Burnley & 3 others keen too. He is quick but £15m is a bit much IMO. I'd of had Maja for £3m loan back & then at least make money off.
I watch a lot of Norwich I like them & we need FBs we should be looking at Max Aaron's 18yo stellar young RB & Jamal at LB isn't bad either. Cantwell good young mid.
That's said it's good to keep an eye on players over the years but sometimes best to take the risk when low.
I'd have Giroud & we know he wants to stay in London still turned down China move. But would Sarri let his backup go. I don't see why they don't give Michy a chance he offers more pace & links well with hazard.
