If Newcastle reach where they want to go in the next 6 years, none of those players or the manager will be there.
No Newcastle fans are murmuring, come on. We're all used to despair, not being in a relegation battle is amazing to us. Form inevitably dips, and we've had a dip recently, but all is not lost.

Classic Danny Murphy. English bias and little evidence. He’s quoted a stat proving him wrong and says “err no that’s different somehow because no actual reason. I just say so.” If Bruno was from Liverpool and playing for Liverpool, he’d be calling him the new Gerrard. No question. 🙄

Newcastle are big in Newcastle, that's it. Nobody cares about them outside of there so he's able to have a bad season and go unnoticed.
Given his opinions on Steve Bruce when he was Toon manager, my assumption is that he will be bang wrong about Bruno 😊
Oh boy. If you actually watch Newcastle games, you know last season the core to the team was Pope and Joelinton. Losing both deflated the team immensely.
If you don’t think Bruno G has the potential to be a world class cm then you clearly don’t watch him enough.
The guy can run a game and pull the strings from deep. He’s defensively sound (when he’s not trying to Meg people in his own box).
He’s also shown flashes of brilliants further up the field.
I have no doubt that if you stuck him into Man City’s team over someone like Kovacic he wouldn’t look out of place.
He may not have as much pace as other midfielders, but in a better midfield 3 he is outstanding, just the current midfield 3 doesn't work well together at all.
And this coming from Danny Murphy, who had the pace of a cupboard going up a hill is quite ironic.

The season following our near miss with the champions league. We had the challenge of balancing Europa league with the premier league. Big Mike decided the only transfer that summer would be Vurnon Anita for around 5-6m. At no point did any Nufc fan think we would go on to win the league 😂

He said Dezebri is doing a fantastic job at Brighton, but Newcastle isn't seriously. You only looked good because Liverpool had a great team get a grip. And on Bruno, all of the top teams are being linked with him. World-class players don't need to run around like headless chicken's 🤪

Embarrassing commentary from him against Blackburn and now this, Bruno has played almost every game since he came to the club.
Newcastle definitely need players, it's hard to judge Bruno fairly right now because the team is lacking depth. (due to injury and relatively short time after ownership takeover) I do think he occasionally get's reckless with his tackles, but without a better overall squad and given the number off minutes he's asked to play I think it's hard to judge his athleticism.
Simon brought up the issue of bruno's athleticism in the first place. One player can't do everything.
