  1. Utter nonsense, you should not be able to pay off the premier league by breaking financial rules. What sort of deterrent is that. Literally the worst person on this channel.

  2. Wow what a joke it does pay to cheat then. So if your playing for cups and titles they don't take them back do they. If you're top 6 why stick to the rules then? The shiny new ground must have helped them as im sure the prem want them in the league. If that had been Leeds we will of been relegated to league one. I feel sorry for all the other clubs that kept it honest especially Leicester it's a disgrace

  3. Like I've been saying – they get 4 back from the 10, then another 4 off for the second charge.

10 points puts them in the middle of the relegation fight.

12 points deducted total could put them down.

Interesting to see what Forest get – if they both get 6 points deducted I think one of them goes down – not both because those bottom 2 are awful teams – Luton now have a good chance of staying up if the 6 points becomes standard & the next 2 punishments stick.

  4. Everton breaches law: POINT DEDUCTION NOW! NOW I SAID!
Man City breaches law: Should we do something about it? Cuz I am pretty tired y'know and don't feel like doing it…
Meanwhile EPL board: So lads, when are we getting the payment from Qatar? We didn't act against their money cow club when we clearly havebthe evidence to do so so they better pay up!!

  5. FFP breaches over say over 202X-202X+1 should cover one footballing season. Everton having the possibility of facing two charges for FFP breaches over two different financial years (which will both include the COVID-19 season) in one season is wrong. Points deduction’s are correct but they should not stack solely because two periods of financial results come out in time for one season due to different year dates.

  6. If a club commits financial crime that enables the club to do better than they would have you have to deduct points.

What manner of fine would affect a billionaire? Fine them several billion? This Sky chap hasn’t thought things through at all.

Clubs are breaking the rules to gain points and have gained an advantage over clubs who didn’t break rules. At the very least they’ve taken players away from other clubs who may have gained points with those players even if their own club didn’t befit from those players.

Deduct the points so it hurts the players and fans because that’s what owners are doing by committing fraud. Fraud damages the integrity of the game.

The fans will make it known what they think of their ownership for doing this. It’s absolute BS to say “let a billionaire off with a fine because punishing the club will hurt the fans” what about other clubs fans????

  7. Feel bad for Everton fans but completely disagree that overspending should only confer financial penalties. They are going after oil state clubs, and these types can't be deterred by financial penalties. Ultimately, overspending is a form of cheating that affects fair competition and cheating deserves to be rigorously punished.

  8. The official appeal verdict states that you cannot have points deducted for the same PSR period in separate charges. This means Everton will only get charged for an extra 1 year and it will only be a 2 point deduction at worst, as 2 of the 3 years for the PSR period have already been applied. Forrest on the other hand will be looking at 6-8 point deduction so its much worse news for them.

  9. There should be an agreed sanction for a breach of FFP and make it punitive, 10 or 12 points. That would take the appeal shenanigans out of the process, it would also remove uncertainty for other clubs in relation to the table and potential relegation.

  10. This guy had the worst take on this ever, how can this be a bad thing? they were still fighting a second charge regardless and if it wasn’t changed they’d be 2 10 pointers which is obviously worse

  11. It has to be points deductions. The owners can get around financial penalties, especially the rich ones.

Points deduction really pressures them from all quarters and it hurts them financially from the consequences as well.

What Everton can have grievance with is how long the Man City penalties are taking and whether they will happen at all.

  12. Everton's main spending has been investment in the infrastructure, ie a new stadium which is the most sustainable and honest form of income moving forward. Not only that, Goodison is decaying, it has to be replaced, they have no other option. It used to be that spending on infrastructure wasn’t considered a part of your losses but this was changed after Everton had already started this development. The rules were changed part way through the process and now they're being punished for that, are they going to just stop and take 2 decades to complete it? That's why this is wrong. Over the last 3 years Everton have a net spend of 3rd least in the premier league so they are being punished for the stadium. Good luck Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and anyone else who are considering a new stadium in the future. I do think clubs who breach these rules should be punished with points deductions but considering the above and that they lost investment and backing due to Usminov being sanctioned and Everton cutting all ties with Russia (doing the right thing) then it is harsh that they are being marred with a sweeping statement of "breaching financial fair play".
