Mane's omission now changes not just the scene around Group A but quite possibly the whole world cup. With Senegal not going, Ecuador are strong favorites to make it out of Group A, Even Qatar maybe? That gives England (presumed Group B toppers) a very good chance of making it ahead. Unreal, how these injuries are leading to potential mammoth butterfly effects. You can't help but wonder what more surprises are we in for, who gets injured mid-tournament. If say someone like Leo or Ney gets injured, every single prediction that people are making goes out of the window.

I really don't think there is 'host magic' to be found with Qatar. The previous hosts actually had a very passionate fanbase. They love the game. For Qatar it's only a matter of money. And that is not gonna work. Ecuador, Senegal and the Netherlands all have way more love for the game, besides pure quality. I don't see them getting any points and they should excell just to not be beaten 6-0 by the netherlands.
Love how y’all acknowledged there’s a bunch of positives to this Qatar team despite everyone else pointing out only negatives. The main problem I see with Qatar is they give up a lot of leads or have spurts where they look disorganized on defense. I don’t see them losing their opening match tho but man it’s gonna be tough for them to get to the top 2.
