Hes a player, and hes nit even at his peak as a player yet, i think hes capable of 10 goals a season as well as 10 assists UTV
I'll put my hands up, I judged him to early. I wrote him off after, the Everton cup game. But his proved me wrong, and I'm happy for that.
I agree to some extent, still think he needs to get fitter. The chance he had against Fulham when he was clean through for example, he ran out of steam .
What we all have to get our heads round (and used to) is that Football has evolved from a team game into a squad game! So there are multiple players that can come in and do a job in different games when needed. I agree it is not easy to comprehend, especially for us older supporters who remember 1981/2 using only 14 players all season UTV!
For me tielemans works best off the bench as an impact sub. Itโs not his age itโs the miles on the clock heโs been playing regular first team football from the age of 16. Thereโs no doubting his quality though, I think he has a big part to play in this Villa squad for the next few years at least!
How did you manage to get whiplash from that VR session you both took part in Dan? ๐
Another example of trust in unai.. he clearly had a plan for tielemansโฆ some fans to quick to judge.. IN UNAI WE TRUST !!!!
To be fair.. always remember..we can all have critiques but what we don't say (because if you love Villa it should be clear) is that we want to be wrong… If it's negative it's only a moment in time.. but we want to be wrong!.. especially if it helps the club. You should only apologise if you meant it and you didn't want him to get better and help the club
There's that famous interview with John Gregory when he talked about trying to sign muzzy Izit. But John where's he going to Play asked Sir Doug Ellis. Johns response was. He isnt. He's going to sit on the bench and you watch all the other players work harder because they know he's sat their waiting to take their place. This is exactly what Emri has done with Telamans
Unrelated but I think we should splurge on a ball-playing right-sided centre back, a left-footed central midfielder ideally Gabriel Sara of Norwich and another central forward. Gabriel Sara should be our priority signing.
Itโs coconuts and avocados – leave it to the experts!
PS. This is not hindsight, but I was glad we got Tielemans for Leicester City AND NOT Maddison
So many fans judged him too soon. A lot from a clip of him running back with no context as to if it was the 9th or 90th minute. He is as quick and mobile as Kamara but this seems to go under the radar. Pays to give players time.
