  1. I've never been so excited to see a centre back in my life. Looking forward to tonight's game, its been a long wait to see our 'number 1 transfer target'

  2. Aguerd and Kehrer could be one of the best ball playing CB pairings in the league. Not being harsh on Zouma, Ogbonna and Dawson, who are fantastic defenders. I just feel the Aguerd/Kehrer could be the catalyst for being more effective possession based team.

  3. Morning Gonzo, good to see you back in the man cave….. Not only am I looking forward to seeing Aguerd again and how he fits in, but really looking forward to seeing a fully fit squad. We definitely have some quality and hopefully Moyes can get the very best out of them….. COYI !!!

  4. Watching the recent Bournemouth player cam video from WHC channel, a different side to Moyes was shown. That demure press conference attitude was replaced with the one the players see. He saw Fredricks, gave him a cuddle whilst walking down the tunnel and laughed and joked with him and Fredricks mutually responded. To me this showed the good relationship Moyes has with the players and staff, to release someone seen as not good enough, but still have that relationship says a lot.
Moyes obviously doesn’t trust the press or enjoy their questioning, hence that demure approach.

  5. I think Aguerd would free up Emerson as a fullback. I think Aguerd's speed and abilities will cover the defensive lack of Emerson. I also think that allows us to use Kehrer as a RB.🔥

  6. People call me negative for criticising Moyes, it's true I've never really liked him but have always given him credit where credit was due. I would like to see top manager coming in yet if Moyes will turn things around I'll be happy because I love my club and I also know that we do have players good enough to win a trophy this season. COYI!!!

  7. He's (the Moyesiah) seems a lot more relaxed in press conferences this season. He knows he's got a deep squad capable of winning something this season. COYI

  8. It was a very interesting and encouraging press conference. Very interesting that we pursued Aguerd for a couple of years…think back to where we were two years ago…gives an insight in to Moyes' long term approach. Very glad that Moyes is taking the Conference League seriously…this is our best chance to win something for some time (since…the Europa League last year 😀…that still hurts). Moyes is right about the domestic cups…with a stronger squad we should have a better chance to win one of them in the coming years…but it is still tough. Looking forward to the game this evening…COYI!!!!

  9. Morning gonzo I'm hoping that moyse uses a back 3 agurd on the left zouma in the middle and kehera on the right then can push coufal up the pitch an cresswell do the same on the left brings in a strong back 5 wen it comes to defending

  10. i saw him in the pre season friendly against Rangers , looked good , then made an error and got injured recovering it , looked good up to that point though .

  11. Gonzo are you starting to get a little soft spot for our Mr Moyes? I like listening to Moyes in interviews, he always gives an honest answer when looking back at the questioner. He doesn't
put a show on for the media like some managers do, as it's never about him but more about the team. What is there not to love about our manager? (He better win now I've built him up!!)

  12. Like the video Gonzo, great content covering the dialogue between Moyes and the Moroccan camp and having bits of his presser in there was a good touch. Bloody hell though, did you put some sort of filter on it, is it just me or is Moyes looking like he’s just come down from north of the wall? COYI

  13. Yo Gonz! Spot on about the presser. In my humble opinion is that when all our CB's are fit, we will have one of the best Center Back unit in the League.

The only thing I'm worried about is Cornet, the little we've seen of him, he looks a good option on the left, which brings my other worry is another attacking option, in Paqueta, who was looking to be a great option at # 10, I hope they both aren't out long, because with a fit attack force, those 2,3,4 goals we need to score in every match in the League, which put both together, could beat anyone on our day, and some that maybe isn't quite our day!

Cheers Gonz! Appreciate the info, as always.

  14. Get Aguerd to play the Europa games and then he will no doubt play the 3 group games at the WC for Morocco, maybe a couple of under 23s before the WC also then get him in the team after Xmas, when we kick on for a top half finish

  15. West Ham knocked City out of the league cup last year.

By the way Gonzo, when you talk about Moyes´s MOT, you mean to say his MO. If it´s what Moyes does – it´s his modus operandi (mode of operations) – not Ministry of Transport.

  16. Glad you are easing off Moyes a bit. Its depressing to hear the manager criticized so much. I get that he is not perfect but I feel better with him in charge than anyone else since the early days of Pardew.

  17. I am hoping for an early goal and then Moyes can experiment with some attacking options. Does Moyes need an attacking coach ? for example Teddy Sheringham.

  18. Looking forward to seeing Aguerd in the team getting up to speed and seeing what he brings to us not only from a defensive perspective but a attacking perspective.

    COYI

  19. Excellent analysis Gonzo. My guess is at the end of the season we shall have seen David Moyes play different formations, use substitutions differently, win ugly, win with grace and flair and most importantly WIN. We will then look back on it all and say "never in doubt". 😀

  20. One thing you might have me from the last game is that scammaca spoke to kehrer before kickoff I reckon it was about a long pass to him because later in the game he done exactly that. I think scammaca will be aware of aguerds talent and we might see some interesting link up play…. Said it first
