With most of the top leagues now set to return, clubs like Liverpool, Barcelona, and Real Madrid will have the chance to compete for all-important league titles. Lionel Messi, Mo Salah, and Sergio Ramos will no doubt be happy about this.
But some have not been so lucky in the past – from Ajax and AZ Alkmaar having their league voided this year, to Everton missing out on a chance at European glory in the 1980s, to Lazio being overlooked back in 1915, here are 10 clubs which missed out on titles for reasons out of their control.
