Liverpool is devising a plan to make a dual swoop for Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo and Antonee Robinson.

Liverpool concentrated on revamping their midfield last summer, bringing in Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, and Wataru Endo.
Moreover, Liverpool refreshed their attacking options in recent years, securing signings such as Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo.
As they prepare for the 2024-25 season, Liverpool is now turning their focus towards bolstering their defense, especially with uncertainties surrounding Joel Matip’s future.
Matip, who has been with the club since 2016, is currently sidelined due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in December.
With Matip’s contract expiring at the season’s end, it appears likely that Liverpool will let him leave on a free transfer.
Should Liverpool decide not to extend Matip’s contract, they will rely on Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez, and Jarrell Quansah as their primary center-back options.
In their pursuit of defensive reinforcements, there are reports suggesting Liverpool is considering a double swoop for Adarabioyo and his Fulham teammate, Robinson.
Adarabioyo has less than six months left on his current contract and could become available on a free transfer if Fulham doesn’t negotiate a new deal with the 26-year-old.
Recent reports indicate that Tottenham Hotspur may reignite their interest in Adarabioyo, having been linked with him last summer.
On the other hand, Robinson has earned praise as one of the Premier League’s top left-backs due to his stellar performances under Marco Silva.
The American international has been a crucial figure for Fulham, starting in 23 out of 24 Premier League matches this season.
Unlike Adarabioyo, Robinson has a long-term contract until 2028, having signed a new deal last season.
Liverpool currently has Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas in their ranks, but Robertson’s place could be under threat if Robinson joins the club.
While Liverpool is monitoring Adarabioyo and Robinson, it remains to be seen whether the incoming head coach will influence any potential pursuits, given Jurgen Klopp’s departure at the end of the season.
