  1. Darwin is a victim of freaks like Messi, Ronaldo, Haaland, Salah etc. changing how people look at stats and output. Darwin's numbers are great, and more importantly, he's always involved in the game and such a joy to watch.

  2. Paul Scholes said it best. He is such a good all round player that once the goals start falling even his miss hits will find the back of the net. Has the potential to be one of the best forwards the league has seen. Whether that potential is ever reached is up to the kid and how bad he wants it.

  3. You look very fresh indeed sir. Darwin is the first player to make me feel the same way Luis Garcia did, knowing full well that he is more than capable of scoring a screamer and missing a sitter in the same game, every game. Don't mind if he never becomes a player who scores 20 goals every season, he suits the philosophy of Liverpool, the enthusiasm is so endearing, he enjoys missing almost as much as he enjoys scoring.

  4. I think he is more effective as a winger, the amount of assists he produces out wide is incredible. I don't like him as a number 9, but of course, if he can improve his conversion rate, I may change my mind. I just prefer him on the left, then Diaz on the right and Salah will be gone, so Jota in the middle.. I'm of course talking next season. This season, I go Nunez-Jota-Salah, assuming everyone is fit. Jota is just much more clinical finisher than Nunez. but things can change and I hope Alonso gets the best out of Nunez when he arrives in the summer.

  5. i once thougth that he is a great finisher and heres why. Strikers usually aim for the side neting of the goal. you know make the shot as un reachable as possible. Darwin hits the post or is just half an inch shy of it very often. this tells me that he is consistently able to find that spot of the goal but also consistently unlucky to hit the post a lot which sometimes can be out of your controll wether that happens

  6. Im just praying that we dont only get to see one elite season from Darwin at LFC and then he leaves to join Barca/Madrid. South Americans dream of those clubs but i hope Darwin understands how much the fans of lfc have stood by him.

  7. There was a similar situation as the Brentford one when he played against Argentina. Bentancur recovers, from Messi nothing less, on Uruguay´s box, passes to De La Cruz who filters it perfectly for Darwin who destroys Otamendi at speed, and after running the entire half and then some he looks up, fakes a shot, looks up again, and shoots perfectly through the legs of Emi Martinez. He can be clinical, but he definitely needs to work on his mentality to maintain that. Yall should really check that goal out btw.

  8. Just law of averages. More shots = more misses. Where Liverpool slacked last season was the amount of shots players took so it's good to see. Who doesnt love the chaos Darwin brings.

  9. One thing that seems to be obvious about Nunez is that he is definitely not a confidence player, nothing he does seems to affect how confident he feels or doesn't feel. No player with low levels of confidence and high levels of criticism tries to do what he did against Brentford.
