I think Americans are enchanted with big names and resumes to our detriment. We needed our own identity as a soccer nation. Berhalter did fine. There are 8 countries who have won the Final and we're not in that club. But it's growing…
What's the point of develop too many talented players ,if at the end we don't have who manage them
Yes time to fire
To get this young, talented team to the next level, they need someone who has done that before. That’s not Gregg.
Does that clown.
The Netherlands game was humiliating.
Leaving players wide-open in/around the area is grade school soccer.
It's the same old story for the USA-lots of athleticism and no "futbol IQ".
NOOOOOO!!!
USA team is not that good
Compared to Van Gaal dude was lost and clueless. If you wanna go far into the WC you need someone else.
Football is not USA number 1 sports but it is in every other country
Bring in Arsene Wenger!!
No… get him out… enough of his nepotism based contract
Absolutely not
I don’t think he’s a good coach. Get someone better US
EASY … NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He has no tactical sense and he doesn't even know his roster. Gio is a MIDFIELDER, and Aaronson is a WINGER. What does he do? Put a weak Aaronson in the middle, his game is creating havoc on the flanks and chasing the game NOT the midfield where he is too small and easily pushed off the ball. Gio plays in the middle with Dortmund and excels there. I want to thank Gregg for getting us as far as he did, and I also want Gregg fired. NOW.
We are the US, and we are hosting in 4 years, PAY a big name and make a statement to the world that the US is here and we're dangerous.
Sean Dyche
Leave him in Qatar
It depends on who the replacement is. If it's a foreigner, are they committed for at least 4 years?
Brian Schmetzer. The most successful American Club coach. Sign him up.
Jesse Marsh does far more for US football in the EPL. I doubl he wants it. He has plenty of energy to be on the sidelines every week. NO NO NO to the chosen one. No.
Fire Gregg
Michael Bradley would’ve did a better job at coaching these guys fr
Terrible roster selection, terrible game day line-up selection, terrible substitute selection. Nuff said.
FIRE GREGG
The US did okay and the did “okay” in spite of the coaching. We wasted one of the most talented US teams of our lifetimes. His attitude toward Gio was juvenile and petty. If Greg really wanted to win he would’ve played all his best players.
No.
A coach isn't responsible for the lack of execution of the basics by players. Give Gregg 4 more years. Hopefully, he has learned something himself. Speculation on the relationship with Gregg and Gio is drama. If Pulisic scores it's a different game and maybe a win. What will help USMNT is more international friendlies (european countries specifically), even if they have to be played overseas.
Nope. Let’s hire the Saudi Arabia coach
Theres a lot I dont like about him but I think the cohesiveness of the group and the love they all have for him is understated. My dream is to see Jesse Marsch coach the 2026 team, but I think we should give Gregg two more years. If we had a good striker I feel like we could have got so much more out of this world cup. We created so many chances, its hard to blame him for people not finishing them.
NO Fire him. Need a new Vision. Get a coach with European experience.
No
He should have been out halfway thru qualifying.
NO.
He’s gotta go, we will stagnate heavily if he doesn’t
Please move on
I think they should replace him, he has shown in many situations his inability to react and adjust play. One of the most promising talents on the USMT got little game time (Reyna) and one was left off the team altogether (Pepi). My wish would be they find someone with a lot of European experience who's ideas are rooted in a strong team identity/strategy, and an ability to react based on an extensive knowledge of the game.
Move along, move along…
of course… were you expecting to win the world cup?
Mourinho won the CL with Porto, imagine he wins the WC with USA.
NO FIRE HIM
No.
Gregg is an average soccer coach. The US needs a real FOOTBALL coach
subbing in jordan morris (why's he even on the roster?!?) agasint wales when we needed a goal and gio was availabe was inexcusable. should've been fired on the spot.
Hey US Soccer Federation: When picking the next coach, let’s not pick the brother, other family members or any drinking buddies, shall we? Safe to say that edgy “unbiased” decision failed miserably.
Lets start by replacing the leadership of U.S. Soccer, the new leadership can select a properly qualified coach.
Nope! They should fire GGB
Let him go coach a high school team
No
NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!
We need to be brave enough to get a NON American coach.
