But with this setup, Gabriel becomes the CCB instead of Saliba. Arteta definitely prefers Saliba as the CCB or they'd have tried it earlier so will be interesting to see if he sticks with it.

The difference is making white invert and letting kiwior play his game. Makes you think we could’ve held onto tierney and just let him do that, with white inverting instead.
Agree that Kiwior has defended well, but there have been some pretty bad giveaways. Beginning of West Ham game he got caught on the ball (by Kudus?) and it almost led to a goal. He’s had some loose passes that just didn’t seem that difficult (for a premier league player). I think we have to wait until we play better opposition before we can say he’s a staple in the starting XI.

He was overwhelmed in the centre but looks great on the left. He is very comfortable on the ball and in one on one duels. Arteta has really gotten him playing.

Kiwior and Trossard should permanently start for Arsenal, whether Jesus and Zinchenko are here or not. Numbers dont lie, Scoreline and cleansheets as compared to when Zinny and Jesus are present

Glad to see this video. I've been raving about Kiwior at LB for weeks. He's been a revelation and plugged the leaky goals conceded from that position when Zinchenko plays there.
Some players just need the game time to blossom. Kiwior is exactly that type of player. I agree in keeping this team sheet until they eventually lose via a bad performance because from what I've seen in the last few games, they have a great balance between attack and defence. If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it!

I hope, as good as he is attacking-wise, we never get to see Zinchenko in that inverted LB role ever again. He's always been a liability defensively and that weakness has been extinguished in his absence. Seems those injuries had a bright side to them, including Jesus'.
