  1. I know he’s on West Ham United, but with Manchester City loaning him out there and barely even playing them, many of us should have concerns with what’s gonna happen to them if Rodri is injured rests or picks up another suspension.

In my opinion, Manchester City are over reliant on Rodri and it makes sense because what he offers to the team combined with his ability to score big goals he’s simply irreplaceable and no player on that team can replicate what he does. With him in the starting lineup they’ve gone a year without losing a game and a big reason as to why Manchester City have dropped points as the absence of Rodri has been felt and they cannot win games without him and there’s always a lack of a solution when he’s out. Kalvin Phillips struggled for game time and he was loaned out to West Ham in January meaning that the guy has no proper backup and you wonder why they didn’t sign a defensive midfielder in January because the worst case scenario for them is him getting injured and as we’ve seen with them this season they’re not the same team without him and to have to move one of the defenders to play in his role, filling his void when he’s out is so difficult. Pep Guardiola obviously didn’t fancy him and it’s unlikely that he ever resurrects his career at Manchester City since he’s also had a slow start at West Ham too.

  2. Kalvin doesn't have what it takes to play for City. Pep taught he could mold him to fit in buy he did not fit. Not Pep's fault. He should sort himself out with West Ham.

  3. Well said Craig !!!
Was a bad move to City and Im over Pep saying sorry I think he tried his best They shouldn't have bought him in the first place .. and he should have had playing time in his contract … ie so many games to be played I really Like KP and I wish he had stayed at Leeds

  4. A lot of these players are chickens, players who lie to themselves, they are playing their best football at a small club and when the bigger clubs come they choose the one that they think they can stay on the bench and get winners medals, they don't choose a club that they can help, they choose a club that can help them. Lazy, simply down right lazy and I think Philips is one of them that's why he chose City

  5. Kalvin Phillips was just an average championship player at Leeds ….never anything special and was certainly not England squad material….fact of the matter 😮😊

  6. The only 2 English players Peps seems t hav time 4 r Foden (85%) an Walker (90%); maybe Grealish at 35% an Stones at 22% but any other Englishman just accept that ur no more than a blot on Peps playing landscape.
Kai will NEVER get another game f City i don't think, especially if Peps 'calling it a day' real soon.

  7. Honestly,ESPN need to change their pundits like ASAP, especially Jan,that guy is lame, they'd ask him a simple question and he answers by talking about something else just like he did for this topic (Kelvin Philipps) and he's talking about his dad being a ref. . Mxm

  8. which one comes first? he was not fit enough or he didn't get enough game time? he was injured and then went to world cup and then to new york, came back overweight. u look at his tummy now, he is like a pregnant woman.

  9. west ham made bad move taking philps!!! why people acting like philips is some footballing god. hes had couple good seasons in prem for leeds ffs 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
