The market's allegedly changed, but spending £60m on a player who in the past would just go out on loan and play in the League Cup is insanity.
As a long time fan of the football manager game franchise I find this statement offensive. Not once have I ever played with the intentions of racking up enormous amounts of debt while destroying my club both on and off the field. If anything it’s as if they’ve managed to gain access to their greatest nemesis’ laptop, opened football manager and completely sabotaged their game.
