Hosts Qatar held their final preparations at Aspire Zone training site on Friday, the eve of the title clash against surprise rivals Jordan in the AFC Asian Cup in Doha.
Qatar have been in terrific form and head coach Marquez Lopez firmly believes his team will deliver their best performance in the final.
The 62-year-old Spaniard took over from the renowned Carlos Queiroz, with sceptics believing that Qatar would struggle to defend the title they won in emphatic fashion for the first time in 2019.
As in the previous matches, majority of Qatar’s play will be dominated by the superb trio of play maker Akram Afif, striker Almoez Ali and captain Hassan Al Haydos.
The Maroons showed tremendous grit to come from behind to defeat Iran and will be aiming to be the first team since Japan to win back-to-back Asian Cup titles.
