I always welcomed Raya coming in to compete with Ramsdale. The media, pundits and fans placed a lot of pressure on Raya. He started off nervy with the pressure of Ramsdale being a fan favourite, but prior to Arsenal he was exceptional at Brentford. People forget Raya was always Arteta's first choice. We couldn't sign him at the time so we signed Ramsdale. Now that Raya has settled in, he gives the backline a lot more belief and confidence. Despite Raya being the shorter man, he actually catches more balls from corners and set plays. Ramsdale tends to rush out and punch the ball, thus giving the opponent possession again. Catching the ball allows us to quickly counter with an outlet throw from Raya. Trust the manager. Trust the process!
He simply makes us better
with ramsdale in goal i was always worried about crosses.
I am a Ramsdale fan.
I was not really impressed by DR until Westham match.
I now trust and have confidence in him.
Let's not forget that Ramsdale replaced Leno close to the same situation he's in now.
TBH I’m not enough of an expert to make the call after half a season. In the end only lifting trophies will settle the matter.

He makes accurate throws so of course the kicking stats will be misleading….Ramsdale is a better shot stopper but Raya is overall better for the defense and offense.
Raya’s calmness on the goal makes the defenders work more easy…I was always worried about crosses with Rambo at the back but not anymore.
Why Arsenal are better with David Raya. Is it because Raya is prone to letting shots in and missing crosses so it has made the defence quicker at getting to the ball and faster at blocking shots and cutting out the opposition attacks??
i was never a ramsdale fan & he 's got mistakes in him ,so i was glad when he brought raya in but i'm not entirely sure it's been a good move ,we had the best keeper in the prem in Martinez & we got rid of him ????
if we get lucky we can sell ramsdale to newcastle or chelsea
Arsenal should buy David De Gea as number 1 GK, a who is world class, saved United for 4 seasons in a row, and keep either Raya or Ramsdale
Nicè vid but cant help note the Ramsdale bias when youre making a video that clearly contradicts yòu and everyone else's take on Raya who according to Arteta himself is obviously better believe what you may. Why the denialism is beyond me though for something so obvious and clear to see but yet somehow some of you claim Ramsdale is supposedly better than Raya? Wow good luck with that take.

I don’t remember the last time Raya faced a direct shot . He has been good but more credit has to go to the centerbacks ,ben white and Rice

We didn't happen to pick an insane cross claimer just as a random trait either. With how insane our defensive structure is, its just more likely for teams to try to put more crosses into the box rather than trying to play through us. Arteta anticipated this would be happening and picked the perfect player for it.
I feel more comfortable with Raya’s catching ability
While Raya is playing as our extra sweeper, Ramsdale would be taunting the away fans, its funny and Ramsdale is a lads lad but not gonna bring trophies.
I love Ramsdale. I do think it's an unfair situation on him….however. Raya offers us much more in the way we play. He has shown (since settling more in the side) what he can offer to the team. Hes more comfortable with the ball at his feet and his distribution is brilliant! I do feel that since Ramsdale had that interview, where he said he sometimes struggles with his focus, was probably the worst thing he could have done and probably ttok away some faith that Arteta has in him.
Either way, if Ramsdale is to leave in the summer, i would wish him well as he is a brilliant goalkeeper and deserves success!…..i just hope it isnt at a big rival of ours 😅
It's been a decent start for Raya, but he's come in at a time where we're better in defence. Could Rammers have performed the same in those games? We'll never know, but I believe the answer to be 'yes'.

He may be better, but my heart is with ramsdale
Ramsdale is a better shot stopper and better in the air, but Raya’s distribution is better. Personally I’d prefer my keeper to be the former over the latter, but in the end, it’s Arteta’s club and system. If he feels Raya’s play out of the back makes up for his smaller size, dodgy positioning, and occasional leaked goals, it’s his decision as manager. But after last season, only silverware will convince me he made the correct move.

I can doubt even pep changes his goalkeeper and I dunno why arteta was criticized so much. Yes Aaron fan favorite but we need what will improve the team. Im happy finally we have a back four where I know it's not easy for strikers to bully. RAYA IS SHITTY SHOT STOPPER COMPARED TO RAMSDALE, THE LAST TIME HE EVER SAVED A CLEAN SHOT WAS AGAINST SPUR, WAIT UNTIL OUR DEFENCE WEAKEN THAT WHEN YOU'LL KNOW RAYA'S WEAKEST ATTRIBUTES IN GOAL..HE SIMPLY JUMP AIMLESSLY, CANT SHOTSTOP EVEN WITH HIS LEGS…

I agree That Raya is a better fit for what we want to do right now and is probably the better keeper my only concern is Ramsdale is still a baby in keeper terms and if he gets the right move I can see him in 2 or 3 years being one of the very best in europe. He has a very high ceiling.
He's getting better and better. Defence is so much more calm with him. Had a couple stinkers early on, but all keepers do.
I think watching brentford last season already tells me how good Raya is, definitely better than rambo imo. I love ramsdale, want him to get better than raya, but can't shake the feeling he's bound to make mistake by making wrong decision to approach the ball or failed to punch the ball while raya can quickly catch and throw the ball long
