Veteran Forward Marcus Morris is leaning towards joining the Minnesota Timberwolves for the rest of this season, per former teammate Patrick Beverley. Morris was traded to the San Antonio Spurs at the deadline in a three-team deal that brought Buddy Hield to the Philadelphia 76ers from the Indiana Pacers.
Morris is expected to work a buyout agreement with the Spurs, but no deal has been reached yet. When it is, Morris will be able to join the Timberwolves. Minnesota currently sits atop the Western Conference. The Wolves added to their bench at the deadline by trading for Monte Morris. Adding Marcus Morris would give them additional depth for a playoff run.
