Manchester United must sign a defender (cb) that has experience in the pitch and that can make great decisions like vidic because if we are going to play a 3-5-2 formation the young players like jones smalling shaw even though they are good defenders dk about smalling but they are not world class nor are they experienced players

You forgot to mention kagawa to dortmund for around 7 million. I believe it is lies since we are reportingly selling cleverley for 8 mil. All I want to see now is young or fellaini leave which is unlikely to happen. And I do believe either chicharito or welbeck will be going on loan.

Great prospect signing . He has great discipline and leadership which United will benefit from. He was also One of the best players in world cup. Absolutely delighted to have him after all the rumours and also i had a gut feeling during the world cup that van gaal would bring blind which has come true.

Guys we need to wait when our squad is full with all signings available like Rojo Herrera Shaw and the rest of the injured players we will be able to bounce back so based on what LVG said the injured players will be back after the international break so we need to be patient

I keep hearing people talk about him as a left back, people complaining we've signed 3 left backs this window buying Shaw, Rojo and Blind. If people took the time to look, they'd know he actually spent most of his time at Ajax last season playing as a holding midfielder. As a holding midfielder, he's won Dutch Player of the Season, Ajax Player of the Season, he's a fan favourite, they got more points with him playing there than at left back, best pass completion of any holding midfielder in the league, 3rd most interceptions of any player in the league. We are picking up an absolute quality centre midfielder, the kind who can replace Carrick on a long term basis. Loads of people were talking about how United should sign Strootman, or how Strootman would have been a good signing for us if he wasn't injured, Blind as a midfielder is potentially as good of a signing as Strootman and we're getting him for £14 million.
Personally, I think the idea of him being a "utility player" for United should be canned, he should be a starting 11 player for us every week. He's brilliant as a centre midfielder, yes we have our problems on the left wing but that's only because we have players injured. Lets play with Herrera and Blind in the midfield, we could have Shaw and Young on the wings (still think Young is better as a right wing-back than left), Evans, Jones and Rojo at the back, Rooney, Van Persie and Di Maria at the top. Mata hasn't been playing well enough to get into the team, not with the class of players we have in our attack.
Personally, as much as I like the other signings we've made I think Blind is the one I'm most excited by because we've finally picked up a defensive midfielder after god knows how many years of waiting. Herrera and Blind in midfield sounds absolutely perfect.
Daley Blind plays at Left Back, Right back, Centerback, Center mid, and Central defensive mid… Total football at its finest.
3-5-2 is not for United the midfield is not good enough Rooney or RVP must be sacrificed…. 4-3-3

Agree about Vlaar. You'v probably noticed I posted about him before. Its a no brainer really.
In the immediate future i'm seeing him take the spot of fletcher and he's got a good range of passing so he's a good signing. He will occupy that defensive mid position especially if we can't land Vidal.

Blind is well known at Ajax as a central holding midfielder. He doesn't have presence like a Vidal or de Jong BUT he's smart active and gets the job done and passes the ball forward! Love fletcher but he is just not good enough
