Now that Arsenalās banter era is over and theyāre finally elite again, their rivals are struggling to cope.
Can we talk about actual football instead of this garbage for the 100th time this week
I've got a birthday party coming up this evening. On the basis of this, it will be a low-key affair.
It's not a serious topic, dont be a helmet.
They won't say the same thing about Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp (with the fist bump) because it doesn't fit there agendas, especially Jamie Carragher
So what a team canāt celebrate and rub it in that they won š¤£š¤£š¤£
Get over it
The Man united boy were great when they stole Kudos's goal celebration
But when Klopp ran onto the pitch to go to Alisson itās okay⦠I am really starting to think Gary is deep down a Liverpool fan. The Arsenal photographer is a massive fan so Ćødegaard wanted to make it special for him. Not allowed apparently
Arsenal lost the league last year for over celebrating. Absolute nonsense
"Really serious topic…." I can't remember for the life of me when I lost any sleep over a player celebrating. Gary Naville thinks, as far as his brain allow, that somebody doing a movement after a goal we probably won't remember that actually matters.
Bollox. This is a guy who went mental in front of the Kop celebrating a win
G. Neville over celebrated every game he played 4 utd…..this guy, why do sky let him have such a say, when he talks soo much rubbish
The problem I have with Sky Sports and its pundits as it pertains to "over celebrating" is that the pundits prioritise it over the actual game analysis. Arsenal played their socks off and made an in form Liverpool team that are top of the table look bang average and the immediate response to this, from an ex-Liverpool player turned pundit, was his problem with the celebration. Of course it goes without saying to focus on the ultimate goal for this Arsenal Team which is to win a major trophy and you could argue mental lapses in last year even costed them the game Anfield when they were 2-0 up or drawing to West Ham away also 2-0 up but as fans we don't care how a team or its manager celebrates a win per se particularly when these very same pundits have no problem with other managers doing the same. Just analyse and comment about the game.
We really getting vexxed about celebrating? Of all things? Fun Police ruining it all.
The sterilisation of football continues
This was a week and a half ago, why is he still crying about it?
Arsenal fan. Completely agree with him! You could tell we were running on fumes towards the end of last season because we were emotionally exhausted, and physically too, and Saliba got injured etc. Carragher's nonsense is just pure bitterness though.
So when your a score a goal, ācelebrate for your lifeā? But winning the game ājust go down the tunnelā LOL
The agenda is real
Surely celebrating a goal like itās a title winning goal would be more silly considering you could still lose that game however celebrating when you win the game is too much
I love Neville. But this is so toxic of him.
He's commenting and regulating how a team celebrates beating a top of the league side. The fact he thinks he has any right to comment on how they enjoy their form.
Itās only a top because carra was crying, cause Liverpool lost, heād love it if it was against united!
I couldnāt care less about how or if fans are āover-celebratingā, however I do get Nevilleās point. There are 14 games left of the season, thatās a LOT of football to be played and plenty of twists and turns to come. Celebrate your win of course, but save some of your emotion but the bigger moments that are to come closer to the finish line.
Ps. Arsenal fans please stop comparing this to klopp running on the pitch (that was a last minute winner in the Everton derby) or Liverpools 4-0 Barcelona (you all know the context for that one)
I almost want Arsenal to win the league just out of curiosity of how they'll celebrate it. In insolation, taking photos isnt a big deal but thats something league winners do just after they've lifted the trophy but hey, their fans love it more than titles by the looks so all good.
Will you shush
Says the man that ran the length of the pitch to celebrate infront of away fans
Dude they are just having fun, let em be
Its utter CRINGE
No it isnt a āseriousā topic at all š
It's for the fans . Get it right for once.
Absolute nonsense. Sky has gone down the pan.
have said this for ages, Arteta has the players and fans wound up like an elastic band and that will be the reason they again do not win the title, as you can not keep up that level of intensity
One day we will get pundits that can actually be honest and no create false narratives. Arsenal didnāt lose games because they had emotion when they won, they lost because they lost Saliba and Tomiyasu in the same game during the run in.
Ridiculous. Did you see the Super Bowl? Do you see the regular matches in the NFL? Do you see Portuguese league, the Turkish league? The San Siro? With Flares in the stadium and all sorts. Weāve banned that. Passion makes the game. Weāre the only league that policeās celebration so much. And itās timely because Arsenal ARE BACK and rival teams canāt stand it!
Modern football.. var, sin bin, no celebrating, no tackling, women taking over every angle.. yous are ruining the game
Not listening to someone who kissed another man on the football pitch talk about over celebrating
I get why Neville is always whining, over the last 8 years the 'noisy neighbours' have dominated the league, Liverpool have gone from struggling to get top 4 to winning the UCL, and finally won the league again and Arsenal have improved greatly over the last few years even winning 2 fa cups yet United have struggled to find consistency and aside from Mourinho's magic in the europa league haven't done much. I'd also argue kissing a team mate in celebration is going over board but did you see the pundits back then going on about it a week and a half later?
