Hope he jumps back I like Turner
I think that Americans in Europe struggle with being ruthless. I've watched Turner and he's too careful and too polite. You cannot respect these players – they do not respect you at all, especially if you are American.

He's going to need to make a move sooner rather than later as he obviously isn't valued at Forest when they brought in 2 more keepers to replace him. Even if he gets another chance, he doesn't have the team in front of him to make him look good.
I hope Matt Turner understand that every thing happened for a reason as the only difference between a positive mindset and a negative mindset is which one you feed

He needs a good coach and psychological coach too, he needs encouragement and hard work to get playing with his feet into muscle memory. He has potential, but the modern game puts people in the trash if they make a couple of errors
I hope they do better with World Cup 2026 than the US did in 1994. With players on pitches who had no run up for corners, it was pretty embarrassing for the US. Also, the temperatures that players were playing in, I hope that they have some rectractable roofs.
He is obviously not good enough but that goes for a lot of forest players .
Sad to say I thought he would be a good keeper but for forest he is real real bad , can't even kick the ball down the pitch and playing out from the back with turner is a disaster. Hope he can get some confidence but I don't like the thought of him in our goal . All the best

he is a nice guy for sure but he is not a footballer…what I mean by that is he is a shot stopper but is terrible with the ball at his feet….in the premier league the keeper has to play the ball out and he is a liability…..I cringe every time our players pass to him as it has made it very costly for us on several occasions this season and opposition players now know that and pressure him even more. Harsh to say but a massive improvement is needed if he wants to play in the premier league. Good luck to him.
He is a bit delusional really. I feel a bit sad for him. It would be better for him, IMO, to accept his peformances have been poor and not say "oh all gool keepers make mistakes". He should not be looking to "get away" with anything.
Not gonna get a chance for a while. When he does he needs to take it if he wants to get back at all
Performances have not improved. Costs goals pretty much every game

I think that's a bad way to think about it. Theres a good keeper in there but you can tell his confidence is dented at times. I hope he picks up from here Im sure there's another level he can go to, just needs to believe.
he says he's not gotten away with his mistakes that some goal keepers may get away with from time to time. but when your at forest, a club that's battling to stay away from relegation zone, every save you don't make counts. can't afford to make mistakes when your fighting to stay up.
He will turn it around and become starter he just needs to sort the mind game in his head fans stand up and support him COYR
I think he should go to a Championship club or maybe a club in france, netherlands, portugal. As an American I should say MLS but I think he should stay in Europe

He's clearly a nice guy, no-one wishes him ill, just no-one at Forest wants to see him in goal ever again, not for our team at least. We don't want to be relegated and just can't risk it. Sorry Matt. We all wanted you to come good but you just hurt us over and over again. Liverpool, Spurs, Man Utd, Arsenal all benefited from Matt Turner howlers and half-decent perfromances in other games like Sheff Utd don't come near to making up for the damage done. Turner has been given way more chances than a keeper would normally get, not because of his quality or potential but because of the lack of other decent options, and poor recruitment at Forest.

Telling that Gio doesn’t care what Turner thinks. Feels like he knows Turner is out of his depth and isn’t a factor in the squad at all.

He's had more than enough chances and he's made the same mistakes time and time again. He doesn't even seem to realize that (or be willing to admit it). American footballers are overrated, especially in their own eyes, and I'm an American saying this. I was really excited to have an American on my favorite team and he's proven himself unworthy of a starting job in the Premier League. Forest should have made a move for Navas.

Makes too many mistakes
Perhaps Gio’s learned not to converse with those who would publicize said conversations. How does Matt saying any of this foster trust amongst teammates, especially with what Gio experienced w/ GGG spilling locker room conversations that should stay internal? As Matt so willingly said “Gio’s matured since World Cup“.
I honestly think the best thing for turner might be to play in the EFL championship league for a while like Josh Sargent. He needs to be playing every game at a high pace and without so much pressure so he can build high skill at a reasonable pace.
Why is this guy in the premier is beyond me! This guy belongs in the MLS at best.
