      With this coach and without having a preparation game and Iran unpreparedness, we will play all three of our games with a very heavy result. Personally, I have no hope anymore.

      I agree with this video. I am one of those people that is not giving Iran a chance of making out the group stages. I am underestimate Iran in this world cup and Iran can suprise many people in this group.

      I wish you asked him what he thought about the friendly between Iran Canada getting cancelled. On the other hand it might've been a sensitive topic to ask about. Great vid!!

      I used to believe Iran could literally go to Quarterfinals (Top 8), they'd have one of the easiest Round of 16's – however I can't see it anymore. Every friendly is getting cancelled and I literally can't imagine Iran playing a single friendly match against a good opponent before the World Cup. It's so disturbing how the best team in Asia can't even get a proper match to play cause of politics.

      The friendlies vs Ecuador, Canada, South Africa and Uruguay have all been cancelled. Why????????

      I really hope I'm wrong guys but I see 0-3 or 0-2-1 at best. I disagree with most..this is a bad group for us. I think we would fair better against finesse teams. This group has superior athletes.. strong, built, look like horses out there..then I see the Iran team (excluding a few guys) and they're skinny, not athletically inclined. For example, as much as I love guys like golizadeh and ezatollahi…and I really do think they're very good…against bigger teams they will be doing a lot of chasing…Iran's midfield is slow and that worries me. Even the US midfield is young and very fast. Iran can get exposed. In Asia, we don't see horses like Raheem Sterling and those type of athletes..so I really really hope we can play a few top teams in friendlies…not just to assess tactics but to assess where this team stands from a fitness and strength perspective. I remember sardar in the past WC was so spent playing defense he had no energy left to attack the way he usually does. I hope I'm wrong and we get some lucky breaks are way.

      Hi , few conditions for iran to succeed in the World cup :
      1 – Never put Abed Zadeh as a goalie, he is weak, incompetent, doesn't have what it takes, doesn't have the experience and ….
      Putting Abed Zadeh as a goal keeper is a 100 per cent suicide!!!!! His father is trying hard to influence people but the nation will be hurt and will hate the father and the son for ever. I wish him the best , but he is not ready for the position YET , please don't make the mistake, we will all regret it!!!!
      2 – please put the people in the proper positions as they are the best for the position, ie : Do Not put a side deffence to mid deffence!!!!
      3 – Instruct the players not to cause foolish and stupid acts to cause a " foul " , this will not give them advantage to shoot , organize and ….. , also we will get yellow and red cards also the opposing team will play very rough !
      3- Biranvand will be the most suited person for the goal , but he must play calm and cool, not to be stressed out , he must understand that he can't afford to make a mistake!
      3 – The players must be motivated and understand that " they must play as a team "
      4 – Avoid wrong passes, they must pas the ball properly to each other , avoid mistakes as much as possible!
      5 – the players must be fast , move around quickly and get back to their positions allocated to them fast.
      6 – All the players must be able to " run " and perform for at least 2 hours!!!
      *** Very Important : Abed Zadeh as a goal keeper in any World Cup game : we will loose, guaranteed!!
      Perhaps the second goal keeper should be " Hosseini " from Esteghlal

      wow it was fantastic that you interviewed Steven, it's been a while since we heard about him and honestly i wish you asked him about his feelings about not being called up anymore, because i think he still has the quality to be in the team and his experience would be very helpful

      Quite frankly, I think (and seriously hope!) that Iran is able to play good matches and has a chance to qualify for Semifinals. I am rooting for Iran to do great, and bring the marvellous Iranian people a big smile and happiness. Go Iran! Rooting from Mexico.

      Please don’t call it Iran , call it Islamic Republic team because the team is totally controlled by the revolutionary guard forces of the regime and they monitor everything the team and the players do. This regime should not be allowed to participate.
