Rangers fan Craig, didn’t think Alistair Johnston’s head collision was a penalty. The panel weren’t convinced.

  1. A few idiots got thru tonight talking absolute garbage. These creeps were cracking open the Buckfast on the 87th minute. Then BOOM! foul on Kyogo, Hibs player did NOT touch ball in slow-mo. King Philipe no more. King Adam Idah.

  2. His point is if its never been given before then that sets the standard, so why diviate now? The hibs player never even stopped the celtic man from heading the ball so it didn't affect or interfere with play at that moment. It was merely a clash of heads…nothing else. If thats a foul, and because inside the box, a penalty then every team in the league should be receiving penalties for this, given that it happens in almost every game.
I actually though about this recently and asked my mate why is it if you tackle and even get a touch on the ball but your follow through boot or leg catches the opposition player then its a foul and possibly a penalty/ booking, but if you follow through on a header or worse still, miss the ball and hit the opposition mans head, it's not a foul, let alone a penalty. There seems to be a clear and unequivical distinction in the interpretation of the rules, if not the rules themselves, when it comes to a clash of heads as apposed to your legs or feet catching the opposition in a tackle.

Basically the caller is right. That first penalty was literally unprecidented and the ex celtic man failed to answer his point and question, but instead said it wasn't celtics problem because it should always be given as a foul. We definitely need clarity and consistency of application for head clashes.

  3. Of course handling the ball Goldson style is never a penalty either even with 2 hands

  4. Always thought you were supposed to head the ball and not the opponents head after they have got to the ball first. It was late, dangerous, reckless and should have been a red card too for endangering the safety of a player. Coming from the same people who think you should still get a penalty even when offside in the build up ๐Ÿคฃ

  5. The guy asked for any other example of a penalty given in those circumstances and they couldnโ€™t but claimed itโ€™s a stonewaller. Radio Cattolica living up to its name. Gordon Dalziel loves that pay packet.

  6. So if that was a penalty???.Was Liam Gordon's challenge on Danillo when he BROKE is Jaw bone a SENDING OFF FOR HIM!!!!
Of course it was his challenge was late same as Johnstons head challenge. But as always the SFA CORRUPT REFS CONTINUES!!!!!!!!

  7. Agree, i said the same thing… "THAT'S A PENALTY?!?!?!?!" LOL RUBBISH. THEY ALSWAYS NEED PENALTIES TO WIN GAMES, EVEN RETAKES BECAUSE THE FIRST ONE MISSED, SO WAS THE 2ND. BS BS BS CELTIC CHEATS CLUB ๐Ÿ˜ก

  8. A Celtic man claiming it was pen. I am shocked. Never a pen. His argument was stupid. The players jumped at the same time. Accidental collision. The fact the ref instantly pointed to the spot is concerning. I am a Jambo, but Hibs were robbed that night.

  9. They clammed up. Couldn't give any instance that the caller was asking for. Everyone knows that when the chips are down and the heat is on them, that's when the bias towards them rears it ugly head. Been stinking now for well over a decade since a certain clubs CEO got all his placemen into the decision making positions. However all will be dismantled in the not too distant future as other clubs are now sickened of their control over everything and are pushing for total transparency in the governance of own game.
