  1. ‘Smart’ and ‘sensible’ are two of my favourite words Ger! We’ve been smart & sensible in the short & long term here. Whether promoted or not we’ve built in the flexibility to adapt. Personally, I still believe we’ll do it… starting tonight at Bristol…Let’s go for it now, full steam ahead…

  2. Roberts is a great purchase have because he can play across the back. I was disappointed he was the only one we brought in but I understand the reasons behind it. I hope we sell Sini and all the other treacherous loanees, don't want any of them back under any circumstances.

  3. Really not happy with the McGurk move – such a star of U21s – agree he was not on the cusp of the 1st team – but why not loan him out to get 1st team experience rather than cutting him loose?!! Appreciate contract was up in summer – but seems we've lost a promising young talent where other clubs are grooming their youth players in order to sell in the future to help with P&S (thinking Liverpool & Manchester City here).

  4. Roberts is a very good addition, wish we could have had a couple more but it is what it is.
Glad we are trimming the players out that aren't going to help, frees up wages.
Great stream again Ger, have a good weekend and let's hope for 3 points tonight 🙏

  5. Put my hands up I was wrong I predicted no signings! We made one signing! and a good signing, I think though a left back would have been a good addition, but I sense that the market place at the moment especially in January isn't flush with outstanding players to choose from and that applies to most positions. I think the cull should have been more severe, I still think we're a bit vulnerable in respect to Bumfluff and Firpo's fragility, we can only speculate, seems Cresswell still has a future? Think the management did the right thing, were not guaranteed to be promoted this year, and spending big and then have that backfire on you can cause untold problems, thankfully we have not repeated mistakes of the past. let's hope we can achieve promotion whichever method it has to be! Upwards and onwards! MOT.

  6. Likley a good window overall.
Moved on some wages and got reinforcement in the position we needed most.
My worry is that our youth feels rather depleted atm.

  7. I was disappointed that we didnt take the opportunity to get a left back in. Firpo and Byram are both too injury prone to be relied upon. In that position we still look very weak. But overall I realise that it was probably due to a lack of money coming in. As neither Lloriente nor Sinisterra were sold despite the rumours there was just no money to fund a purchase of a decent left back. We are sitting on huge potential losses with the money that Orta spent on Aaronson and Kristianson so its understandable that the new owners would be very wary about a panic buy in January. I hope Poveda does well for Sheff Wed. He looks like a good player and will really stand out in League ! !

  8. Ipswich is my concern as they strengthened an already strong side but have now given themselves depth. Leicester have sewn up first even if they take their foot off. But 2nd is now a 3way scrap between Leeds, Southampton and Ipswich. I had hoped it would be just us and Southampton scrapping it out on the last game. But the championship is never easy.

  9. We haven't signed enough players we definitely needed another defender and a goal scorer a big six foot power house to change it about with the sides that just sit back with eleven men behind the ball I think it's the playoffs but I hope I'm wrong

  10. Sorry I feel this window was inept we needed a centre back and the age old left back and if we fail which we will no one to blame but ourself then the stars leave in the summer ….hope I’m wrong

  11. It funny about McGurk. If we were smart we could have just sign for 4 year and then get a 2 year loan. Watch him in 15 month be signed by others

  12. mcgurk should have been kept , always been man of match in under 21s when i watch them ,could come back to bite us in a few years ,think he will be a prem player in future .you keep going on about a number 10 and hes a natural no 10.in the same mould as johnny giles for me
