what's concerning is that the club didnt make a common sense decision not to go after Duran, they were forced to do so because of an injury meaning they didnt learn anything.

With FFP regulations harder and harder the only way forward is developing your own academies and bringing most of the players to the first team from academy and just a couple of players to buy every season . Chelsea have a great academy , we need to change the strategy now , and that's what Lampard wanted to do. All teams will be forced to do it in the nearest future

Benzema said that it's all rumours about him leaving the Saudi league but yet Chelsea fans such as yourself don't believe that continuing to be obsessed with Benzema coming to Chelsea or being linked with him leaving and in doing so blaming the owners and directors for not trying to sign Benzema. Benzema is earning €200m a year in Saudi. How big of a wage cut are you expecting him to take?
£300k a week is nothing compared to the €3.5m he's earning per week.
It's not even 1/10th of it. You think he'll just forgo more than 9/10th of his wage package to come 9th placed Chelsea? Good luck with that.
And forget Chelsea, no one in Europe will readily subsidize that wage. Not even Real Madrid, who have Joselu leading their frontline.
