When can I be happy.
Reaching the semifinals is something; better than nothing. Like I said before, watch the match and see your nation play. Look there strong and weak points. Especially on the weak point to improve the nation even more. Gg for Iran making the semifinals of the Asian Cup and good luck on your WC qualifiers.
I really feel like we would have been better without taremi in this game. He wasn’t there for big chances and most definitely did not create any. But I 100% agree with you with the reason that we need new fresh players, players who would commit their life to Iranian football, to take the step to Europe and make their country proud. Your Japan hachimaki is upside down
The line up was absolutely wrong. Ghoddos should've been in for Ebrahimi while mohebi or Gol should've been on the left. That change brought us too life but it was too late. Also Qatar got beyond lucky, first and third goal felt like we were being punished by god himself. Fucking gut wrenching

i missed most of the 1st half, watched entire 2nd half. Iran doesn't play good football. It's the same crap football that was prevalent in the world cup.
There is lack of technique, efficiency in the final 3rd, lack of system, tactics, cohesion, Everything. They can't even defend properly. Too many aimless/hopeful crosses from the back or countless aimless awful crosses from the wings or corner kicks. They were either in mans land, or couldn't beat the first man.
dude i know you're not in Iran but there was more celebratetion for this game in the streets of Tehran than the Japan game

This loss is hard to swallow because I thought it was destiny, we beat the penalty curse and Japan finally, this time it would be different. But once again my dreams were shattered, I wonder if I’ll ever see TM win the Asian Cup… I totally agree, it’s a combination of bad tactics/poor coaching decisions with no Ghaedi or Gholi and Taremi playing out left, most of our players were below average today, the drama with the refs and the crowd people f-ed their concentration, the mental factor and the old Persian curse…. Which I think is karma for 1979. There’s too many factors that contributed to this loss. I am disappointed in Taremi, we literally sacrificed our blood sweat and tears vs Syria and this is how he repays us ? After all the support I’ve given him over the years, I’m really disappointed. JHB, Azmoun and even Eza will never be forgotten for their fighting spirit this campaign, they will stepped up and I’ll always be grateful. This is really heartbreaking for me, i will always love this team but it’s getting too hard for me, I don’t know what to do next. This constant disappointment just gets too much sometimes. I just want us to all be happy, am I asking for too much ? 😓
To be fair the Kuwaiti referee went out of his way to accommodate Iran to avoid any bias accusations for AFC choosing an Arab referee for Iran and Qatar.
Iran will lose if this game goes into extra time or if Iran has a different coach, a different system, or a different squad for this match. I say this because Iran lost to Qatar mentally two days ago, before the actual match, when the media spread rumors about the number of tickets bought by Iranian fans or an Arab referee for this match. I could clearly see that the Iranian players weren't mentally ready for this match and they were distracted by political matters during the pre-match conference. I knew exactly that we would lose against Qatar. You may have just noticed this matter today, but every time Iran has an important match, the government-controlled media brings up non-sport matters and distracts the Iranian people and players. I don't know if they do it intentionally or if they do it because they are simply unprofessional.
