Abdallah Sima’s first-half strike was enough for Philippe Clement to seal victory for Rangers at Hearts to continue his impressive start as manager. Brighton’s on-loan striker, who scored a double against St Mirren on Sunday, ran onto James Tavernier’s pass in the 34th minute and fired his shot beyond goalkeeper Zander Clark. The Ibrox side spurned many opportunities at Tynecastle Park and goalkeeper Jack Butland proved his worth once again with a couple of fine saves against the home side. The result means Rangers remain eight points behind leaders Celtic with a game in hand, while Hearts are third.
